As an MTJ fan, it’s been tough since Cole left. Obviously Martin can drive, but he’s not setup to win often enough. Is it lost pre race or in the shop? I don’t know, but I’d love to see him competing for wins again week after week. Really though the Clash would be the catalyst for this season.
Agreed with Kyle, looking for a 19 crew chief change next year. When a top driver like MTJ loses faith in his crew chief, right or wrong, its time for a swap.

Not knowing how much longer Truex will be around is disappointing to see this happening. I want to see him do well before retirement, but unfortunately so many drivers dont have good last seasons. Still hope something changes this year but I’m not holding my breath.
I dont hear Martin blaming the crew chief for everything, and when he does, he has every reason to.

It’s ridiculous to put a driver on scuffs for a late restart and not tell him. He could’ve drove off into 1 and wadded the field up just because James didn’t want to own up to poor tire management.
I thought the same thing when I heard that conversation over the radio. This team is done already. Another no chance of a tittle slips away from MTJ again. Guy gets so screwed every season for some some strange reason.
If i was a driver i would have liked to know that i was on worse tires. I would have been able to adapt better to the situation
never forget to be happy and thankful for all the money you are making and stop complaining. If I had your money, I would have everything in life stop arguing over stupid small stuff. time to grow up little boys. stop being controlling and in charge. you are not in charge. just relax and forget about yday. its foolish
Martin knows how many sets he has. When your the only car to short pit in the first stage its obvious your a set down.
