Baffling that someone can rise to the rank of crew chief and not understand why it’s important to let your driver know that he’s putting on 6-lap scuffs instead of fresh sticker tires for a restart, especially at a track like Richmond.
I agree. Couldn’t believe it when I heard him say that.
Right?? Tell your driver what he’s driving! He COULD do something about that…He could’ve tried to last longer on his tires, or drove differently, just seems bizarre to not tell him and claim it wouldn’t make a difference.
Maybe Small just didn’t want to upset MTJ at that moment??
@Retro Cars Forever Could’ve cost MTJ more than the race, he could’ve went out there with only a few laps left ran those tires well beyond what was left and got hurt bad.
I don’t think Mr small will be with MTJ much longer, they have no chemistry

props to Blaneys front tire guy, he leapt for that bar, didn’t quite get it but not due to lack of effort.
NASCAR should keep ticket price lower. It makes people feel young again. I know it’s hard. NASCAR CEO need for employers, maintenance costs, road, taxes, etc. Fans waiting for lower price tickets, food, etc. More people will watch Nascar. More people will start filling more seats than baseball, NFL, NHL, etc. Why lower? people want to see Larson, Busch, Chase, Ross, etc….
