I agree with the payback, but NASCAR supposedly set a precedent with the Hamlin penalty. Time for a penalty for Preece. Gotta stay consistent NASCAR
@Mag1c Man so don’t say on a pod cast you intended to wreck someone like Denny did
@Kenneth Pereyda preece said it on the radio…
Also the rule doesn’t state “intentionally wrecking another driver” they changed it in offseason, it now just says wrecking another driver. So based on the rulebook, that’s a 25 point penalty regardless of whether or not it was intentional.
@Kenneth Pereyda That would make for a stronger case to penalize Preece. Denny hardly did anything and got penalized for something he said on his own Podcast, Where Preece was with far more aggression and intent and said it over the radio and in his interview.
@Joshua Pittman It always said wrecking. It now says wrecking or spinning a driver. Which to most I think is the same thing, but for what ever reason the board sided with Byron saying he didn’t wreck Denny, but that he spun him. Honestly I think that Nascar and the drivers would be better off pushing for a more competent board who can think logically and make better decisions than to keep trying to dummy proof their rulebook.
@Kenneth Pereyda Don’t say it over the radio either then. Especially if you’re going to try to claim it was an accident in post-race interviews.
If anything, Hamlin comes off looking better than a lot of other drivers for his honesty. I respect it heavily. It’s a shame NASCAR incentivizes dishonesty when paying someone back.
I will never understand people who make the argument you just made. Do you want him to be dishonest and fake?
Preece: turns right into Larson
Nascar: hE dIdNt SaY iT wAs InTeNtIoNaL
@Joe Haeck That’s what happens when you have Cheating Chad run your competition department lol
@ZT ok buddy……whos your driver ?
@Joe Haeck Blaney
@ZT blaney is ok….i can respect that….i just dont follow any ford guys…ford sucks
Kyle Larson: 2021 champion
Ryan Preece: BUST
still better than the last driver in that car
A champion that doesn’t understand the words “clear” and “not clear”. Larson had that one coming.
Larson is Cali Asian bro who thought.n word was like dude or bro
@Steve Guzman who cares
Preece is a perfect example of why Stewart haas is struggling thjs season
Add 1
Agreed. Preece shouldn’t have got the 41 he’s a hack.
@KMartReadywhat’s your point? Kurt Busch did great in it
@Arthur Corassini he’s also won
@davicee. there has been 6 races? he was damn good in the clash
I don’t think the boss is impressed.
Preece better drop that attitude
No need , United Rental just lost an account with such an attitude sponsored driver .
He is getting ready to drop 50 grand
Smh even Stewart had to admit he had no idea what he was talking about
He didn’t agree with what the spotter said..
Congratulations Nascar, this is the can of worms you have opened penalizing Denny. Now every driver that gets taken out is gonna be crying “it was intentional” and want a points penalty given.
It’s rich of Chad Johnston (Who Kyle carried in the 42) to say “he thinks he’s better than everyone else” cause he is, especially that stopgap Ryan Preece
Just racing man. Larson isn’t crying about it. He’s moved on to the next race.
Seriously ??
“Stopgap” ?
Put preece in the 5 ..
He’d win every week u toad
Johnston was a terrible crew chief for both Larson and Smoke. Perfect pairing with that hack Preece.
@Dave Huard No he wouldn’t. Preece will never in his life be on Larson’s level as a racer.
Tony Stewart sounded dissaponited. Also, probably thinking in his mind: “this is going to cost me $50k and several points on penalties”
Tony is so done with this sport anyway haha this stuff is just the Cherry on top
what about Briscoe wrecking Blaney from third to His finish of 23 with a few laps to go
Briscoe has a broken hand so cut him some slack
@Hayden Decker broken finger, and if he’s going to be wrecking people because he has a broken finger then maybe he shouldn’t be put there?
@Hayden Decker No.
@Daniel Blaise i know it’s a broken finger but his hand was in a brace. He was practically driving with one hand
@Brian Jones YES!!!
They drove into each other in my observation. Kyle came down on him after initial contact and you can plainly see Ryan’s front wheels turn toward Kyle. It’s a 50/50 deal. They body slammed each other. End of discussion lol
@super8car No he didn’t. You can actually see Preece turn tires to the right to come up the track into him.
he wrecked him plain and simple……..did you get high before you watched the race……he had larson up against the fence
@Joe Haeck Larson cut him off twice, if you watched the race you’d know
Preece:
“Im a jackass”
Crewchief:
“Hey, me too.”
perfect
It’s almost as though Nascar wants and has intentionally created an atmosphere similar to professional wrestling where there are story lines, rivalries and behind the scenes drama
It sure seems like that’s what it’s about now. More like an entertainment production than real racing.
nothing wrong with this, Kyle lost it and thats it…. Preece should stop complaining and start racing. Kyle is a great guy and great talent. Lots dont like him cause his such a big threat to them ontrack. He is a quick guy
yea, preece made a misunderstanding out of it. but, on the other hand, preece is not doing too bad. he had speed at daytona, las vegas, and cota, but caught up in other people’s wrecks. he also had speed at bristol dirt. he is fast, but just has horrible luck
kyle larson is a great guy with great talent, i will agree on that.
Preece intentionally pushed larson up into the fence and laraon came back down on him. Now whether or not larson’s move was intentional or something wrong with the car is questionable. Looked possibility intentionally as well. Considering nascar’s situation with Hendrick right now, larson will probably be the only one in trouble.
When Larson got going again you could see his front toe was way out with one wheel straight and one sideways. Their wheels hit each other and screwed lardons steering because preeces car was the only thing larson wheel hit. That’s why I don’t think Larson did it on purpose
