@AloeLover even then Nascar didn’t use them correctly. You don’t have jet dryers machine cleaning the track, you suppose to let them race in damp conditions not race wets on drys it’s all bad entertainment sometimes. Nothing makes sense.
@Flagler America Oh yeah… that’s even more ridiculous… it’s like they don’t really want to use a wet weather package for ovals… why make one then?
@AloeLover not sure myself but apparently teams spent over 2,000 dollars on tires. So this is a another reason for teams to boycott and a race like this hurt Nascar viewing ship even more now.
@Flagler America Jeez… the teams are definitely not gonna be happy about this. For viewership? Nah, because NASCAR ratings and viewership are stabilized. But if you’re referring to just the Truck series? Yeah… most likely.

Honestly they should have just postponed the race until tomorrow. It would have made things a lot easier.
As a long-time NASCAR fan, I can tell you that they never planned to be able to fully race in the rain on short tracks, the tires were only designed to run on a drying track to shorten rain delays, but it was NEVER INTENDED to run in a downpour like that.
