It’s out of control .only select few did burnouts at one point making them stand out as a certain race and a certain driver at a certain time .

I’m not a fan of burnouts but I’d rather see something like Larson did but not every single time he wins at a short track

It’s those silly rain flaps. They catch the rubber and then it ignites. Sure we’ve seen burnout fire before, but these flaps make it more likely and when it does happen they make it worse. I agree that the cars should have them in wet conditions but they should be a part that is quickly bolted in under pit stops when they put on wet tires. And then when they switch back to dry tires, take them back off. Yes it would make those specific pit stops longer but they would all have to do it so they’re all in the same boat. And they could do the “non-competitive” pit stops for the change if they feel it’s too much for a regular pit stop. It’s not that hard. It’s funny how NASCAR loves to over-regulate in so many areas while under-regulating in others.. I feel like this issue has an easy fix, you just have to do it.

Great take. I agree as well, bolt them up when needed and vice versa.

Burnouts are fine, but blowing out the rear tires and destroying the rear of the car is unnecessary

Burnouts RULE

I like the fiery burnouts. The fans in the stands like it too (the cheering from when it ignites is a good indicator) Just make sure fire extinguishers are ready.

Dale Jr said it best when they do that type of burnout they are hiding something !!!

He’s not wrong. These drivers need to celebrate. We need to make these wins more bigger.. not smaller. This is y they tech the cars before the race…..

Godzilla Legendary 2078 April 18, 2023 at 4:05 pm

How do they even catch fire lmao

Mike McElligott April 18, 2023 at 4:09 pm

If it passed tech before it can’t be miraculously altered during a burnout. If you’re shred the fender, then you’ll destroy a quarter….. then apply a penalty. I’ve watched burnouts for decades

It’s because he doesn’t know how to do a normal legitimate burnout, he has to pin it against the wall, proves that anyone can win in Joe Gibbs equipment.

Scoe April 18, 2023 at 5:11 pm

Plenty of drivers celebrate like that to include the team.

John Whitmore April 18, 2023 at 5:36 pm

Wall burnouts show no imagination and even less respect for the builders and owners

IxianTechnology April 18, 2023 at 5:41 pm

I hope NASCAR doesn’t shoot itself in the foot by trying to police celebrations. Not all fans are happy about flaming burnouts, i guess it’s a generational thing because the younger fans like me love to see drivers burn it down, literally.
