Congratulations to Kyle Busch and RCR for their 2nd win this season! Kyle’s 2nd win at Talladega. Last time was in ’08, which was the last time he won on a plate track back in July at Daytona for Joe Gibbs. First win at Talladega for RCR since October 2011 with Clint Bowyer

It’s time to start having the conversation can KFB catch Dale Sr in wins?

Reply
Casey April 24, 2023 at 2:28 am

I don’t think he’s getting there. Maybe 10 more.

Evan Williams April 24, 2023 at 3:34 am

Not yet. He is at 62. I say he doesn’t reach Sr. He gets to about 68-70 but he is not passing Senior but he does get close.

Dega’s last two races have been great. No 30-car single-file train around the wall. Love it.

I totally agree with the super chat. That Larson is the new Rusty Wallace on supers peedways. Rusty never had any luck at Talladega.
Also, the coverage of ESPN in the 90s obviously was the best. They used to cover all the drivers. Even the back markers drivers. Fox has poor coverage. Which is not doing the sport any good.

I think it’s time nascar takes notes from other Motorsports for once and ban drivers from blocking multiple times on a straightaway and in turns. You shouldn’t be allowed to double block, or weave cuz that is what is causing all of these big wrecks and there should be legit penalties for this

It’s stupid, I have no respect for drivers who tear up racecars just because they try to throw blocks. This is why I don’t care for this style of superspeedway racing the last few races have been decided by stupid blocks. You block once, it is okay but twice you are getting sent and tearing up racecars is no joke. Like Felix Sabates said “even Ray Charles could see it” that was a stupid block.

I watched the Gragson/Chastain wreck in slow motion. Gragson, Chastain and Larson are forming a 3 car bump drafting chain locked together. Then Gragson washes high because he’s getting smashed by two cars, but it leaves a clear lane in the middle. Chastain gets cleanly into that lane but Gragson obviously comes down across his nose resulting in the wreck. Gragson is still a young rookie, but his actions mostly caused the wreck. You can’t block a driver that is already next to you.
