Do you think Alex Bowman can still make the Playoffs?

Yes. He is driving the car with the number of a goat on it he now harnesses his inner Jimmie Johnson

I don’t think so. He has always had mid season slump. Going to be tough. Hopefully he doesn’t rush back

If Josh Berry impresses again he has a great shot to get a full time cup ride next year

Jared Champagne April 26, 2023 at 10:55 pm

There’s plenty of seats that will be up for grabs next year.

Cole Murray April 26, 2023 at 11:00 pm

Well, Junior wants to keep Berry in the Chevy pipeline so that means he wants a Chevy team to pick him up but here’s the problem, all the Chevy teams are sticking to the drivers they have now.

John Haas April 27, 2023 at 2:56 am

@Cole Murray Junior just wants to see Josh get a cup series ride If it’s a 14 Tony isn’t going to do anything to hold him back

Wisconsin222 April 27, 2023 at 5:40 am

@Darrell Adams Well with SHR you forget Josh Berry is best friends with Dale Jr I’m sure Junior could help with sponsors if needed

Reply
Cole Murray April 27, 2023 at 5:42 am

@John Haas I still say JRM should be in the Cup Series by now. If they were in the Cup Series now, they would’ve had Berry as their first possibly only driver for the team. It’s a missed opportunity for Junior is all I gotta say.

Good news: HMS has 2 drivers with 2 wins

Bad news: they have 2 drivers injured with no wins

They have 1 driver injured. Chase Elliott was cleared back into the car 2 weeks ago.

I bet 3/4 or 4/4 drivers will be in the playoffs, this isnt the 90’s. They just have to win a race and they’re in the playoffs, no need to panic at all.

@Cole Murray Berry was signed as Hendricks reserve for 2023 after Gragson left for Legacy Motor Club, however Dale Jr probably had a say in that

Josh Berry really going in to test all the cars to pick which one he wants when the next contract rotation comes around.

You knew, with how consistent he’s been running this season, something was up. Then came the penalties and the injury. Sucks, as it was shaping up to be a career year for him

What a year for Hendrick so far. 2 drivers with 2 wins. 2 drivers who have had injuries sideline them. 1 of Bowman’s best tracks, Dover, was this weekend too. Wish him a full quick recovery.

SuperTornadoGun April 26, 2023 at 7:56 pm

One of Chase’s best tracks too.

I think we are jumping the gun here by assuming this year is a one to forget for Hendrick. Sure half of their full-time drivers having to miss races isn’t ideal and they’ve been fighting nascar with appeals and points penalties… However, the speed they have each week is still very good. They are really quick and can win anywhere. I think there’s a lot of positives that can come for the organization as the year progresses.

Larson is pretty safe and William Byron could make the playoffs.

@Run Rafa Run #THEBESTINTHEWORLD Byron’s already locked in, as he has 2 wins. Since there can only be a maximum of 13 different winners with multiple victories during the regular season, getting a 2nd win in the first 26 races is a guaranteed playoff ticket – assuming nothing untoward happens, like an injury or what have you

I had a feeling that crash was going to be a possible injury. Sucks to hear for Bowman

Imagine being the points leader earlier this season, to losing it because of a major penalty, then getting the points back, to losing it again, now missing races because of a sprint car crash.

Hope he gets well soon
This season for HMS is just full of mixed emotions

the penalty was all on the pit crews not the drives i mean drivers the sprint cars the wreck wasn t bowman s fault however when you are tryin to make playoffs you need to figure were you should be

Wishing the best for Bowman.
With that said, as for at 1:22 Aric Almirola comes to mind for me with the crash at Kansas in 2017, and looking at comments here to see if anyone else mentioned it there was also Tony Stewart during the 2016 Preseason.
