Josh Berry gonna run a full time season at this rate
Thats how Bowman got his cup ride with Hendrick (Dale Jr Concussions).
Lol yeah
No doubt, lol
Gonna win Rookie of the Year
@Trevor Williams what? Their cup careers are a solid decade apart from eachother.
It can happen at any time, but Josh is getting his experience in the Cup Series filling in for Chase for 6 weeks before his return & now filling for Alex. Hate it but you have to indulge outside of work for your mental & physical being like Chase said. But hate it for Alex but it’s also a good thing for Josh getting more & more of that cup experience & more of the feel for the next gen car, he’ll have the hang of it when he makes his actual Cup debut.
… he’s 32
@Bad Opticon yea he’s 32 but uh if you haven’t heard that it’s a grind in the industry & the sport you have to have free time from it, it’s not just a walk in the park. Gotta have some activity time away from work, keep ya mind right mind right & physical being right away from the grind. If it’s tue gym or snowboarding doing the things that you do away from your job.
@Dakota May lay off the energy drinks or whatever you’re doing
Josh Berry out here collecting HMS rides like they’re Infinity Stones.
If I’m Byron or Larson, I think I’d be glancing over my shoulder from time to time. The universe seems to have it out for Hendrick Motorsports in 2023. Maybe the total destruction of the cockpit on the 5 was his part of that but damn, they’ve had some pretty terrible luck.
Not sure what you’re watching. Still the overall top team last time I checked.
@J this is despite the penalties levied against them and the chase/bowman injuries
All those years that Hendrick didn’t let drivers do other motorsports and this year he has two drivers injured. (I know one wasn’t from Motorsport, but it’s still a tough start to the season from injuries) I wouldn’t be surprised if next year is different for extra curricular activities.
Larson doing Indy 500 lol
As it should be
I agree that the drivers should have the freedom to run what they want. But it’s just wild that the team that was most against outside racing is one of the biggest leaders to get stock cars into Le Mans.
The snow boarding I can’t justify. But Nascar is in deep shii with ratings. I’ve seen motorsports from multiple series angles. I raced from 4-25. One of the things that’s hurting nascar is they stopped drivers from doing other things out of fear they would get hurt. Well here’s the thing. The force multiplier sending nascar drivers to dirt tracks or cross overs from anyone. That’s how you build a fan base. So people can argue that all day. Btw if nascar was selling out every race and the tv audience caused broadcast towers to melt. Then yes, you wanna protect them at all cost! But at this stage. Even with the injuries you can justify racing other series. I raced under sponsorship from 4-25 and I still will do one offs. But I mainly watch my 6kids now. I think they are in a place where they need to stop sheltering drivers and send them into the world to gain new fans. This is simply opinion and I may change my view in 3 months. But I was always taught to think a minimum of 3 months ahead at all times in racing no matter the series! Your always thinking big picture. —— now on the snowboard incident. I would’ve never got away with that my car owner / sponsors threatened to fire me for playing flag football. But he would let me race other series.
@klk1900 These guys at the end of the day have lives man so I say let them do it…
the universe wants josh berry in top equipment lmao
First FOX with Perkins’ flip at Talladega, now with Bowman’s flip on Flo? Have videographers forgotten how to zoom out to get the full scene?
The landing of that crash has paralyzed a lot of sprint car drivers. Lucky he only got a fracture!
I hope he gets better soon
Josh simons is the best he deserves a promotion to the cup series on pit road full time for the rest of the season
He’s lucky that’s all that was injured. That is a very dangerous landing that sprint cars take. Many drivers have been seriously injured landing like that like Kevin Swindell.
Josh deserves this man.
He is getting great experience with very low expectations and pressure.
I see Dale Jr. Putting Josh Berry full-time in the Cup Series next year.
Dale jr. doesn’t own a cup series team. Sure he’s got a stake in Hendrick but that’s not his team. Just owns JR in the next level down. He doesn’t tell Hendrick who to sign or drive or whatever you’re thinking.
What a Violent Flip For Bowman Hope He gets Better Soon
He drove right into the guy
Bet after this year, they are gonna real some of this extra activity stuff in.. it’s costing them to much! It’s one thing if you crash in full time ride..
Personally i understand these guys just love to drive, thankfully they have a good backup driver
So this is a cross roads PERIOD! I raced from 4-25yrs old under sponsorship. In 3 series. I’ve seen so many people I thought were great but after one hard crash or a crash where they sustain a head/neck/back injury. I race a guy on Friday, sat, or Sunday that’s a A list driver! The crash happens and the guy I race on there return is Z lister. Just over night, as if it’s not the same guy. It changes some mentally. — my point is what people should be watching for is his demeanor and performance. I can’t even count how many greats were destroyed mentally from one single bad crash. So if he returns and holds his performance then we know he’s a real Great! Because the majority of guys it changes them forever. —- btw I truly hope he comes back the same. I just wanna mention. If he comes back and runs around the back don’t be negative. Also show support. The fans can build your ego back up to make you invincible again! And yes I had a skull fracture in 1999 from a 175g crash. My biggest fear was I wouldn’t be able to perform. Luckily I never let it happen. But that fear of being one of the guys that get mentally screwed by a crash. That was my biggest fear.
FYI: Bowman is in the purple/black #55 Ally car. Conner Morrell is in the red #2 car.
Man that red #2 took a much rougher ride, was he not hurt as well?
Watch again….Bowman hits the ground with violent stop at the end…that’s what hurt him…same thing Happened to another driver in 2020 in cedar lake Wisconsin
