Well, the cars were built by the teams ( no NASCAR supplied parts, no under power cars, and damn stage racing!

I haven’t seen you in a while.
When cars had tires that wore down, and a driver who had to actually drive the race car. This was an end of an era.
NASCAR needs to restrict tires even further. Amount of Fuel Stops required to get to the finish +1 set and no more.
I used to race with Ricky Craven in the NASCAR North series. Tough competitor but always fair. Nice guy off the racetrack also.
