I cried a little bit when Kurt choked up
What a great attitude by Kurt Busch. What a man!
Still one of The Most Iconic NASCAR Finishes to This Day the Greatest finish ever in Nascar
What makes this finish even more special, Darlington was about to get its dates taken away. It was on the chopping block before this.
This one finish saved the race track.
I was a good watching this and I couldn’t believe what I had seen…….it stills gives me goosebumps, and it isn’t talked about as much as it needs to be……it also saved darlington as there were talks of it loosing a date
These uploads have been fantastic this weekend NASCAR. Compliments from all us fans.
Seeing Kurt tear up made me tear up
20 years for Greatest Race of Finish line rivalry Kurt Busch vs Ricky Craven at Darlington and also, the infamous commentary with Mike joy and Darrell Waltrip said Have you ever no I’ve never.
it really was one heck of a race, thanks Kurt for all the crazy stuff you did on and off track
I feel that the win was a foreshadowing for Pontiac. An “exciting” brand that had its struggles, an underdog to Chevy. There was some glimmer of hope, only to sadly exit the sport totally unceremoniously at seasons end. With GM itself axing the division in 2010.
Interesting to note that NASCAR mostly used Pontiac pace cars throughout the 90s. Always proud when a Pontiac leads the field.
I’ll always be a Pontiac guy, always.
If this win doesn’t happen Darlington probably left off the schedule by 2005 and none of us would have any great memories of the Lady in Black. I wouldn’t have the memory of 2011 riding around in the pace car at 100mph with the driver have one finger on the wheel and being a foot of the wall in July,2011 before losing my mom in November of that year. Thanks Ricky Craven and Kurt Bush for saving this jewel. Love, A 21 year old Nascar Fan
What an amazing finish, one that solidified an 11 year old me at the time as a fan for life.
Awesome video, got to meet craven last year, he is an amazing dude, if you have time go see him at ricky craven motorsports in landis, NC
This was a beautiful documentary, super entertaining!
still to this day this race proves to be the best darlington race and closest finish of all time ricky craven wins by 0.002 unbelievable
It is and will always be the best finished I ever watched. Watching the replay never gets old and I’ve watched the finish more times than I can count. The best thing is how both Kurt and Ricky were able to smile, laugh, and shack hands in victory lane.
This finish was one of the first times I watched an iconic sports moment live as it happened. I remember my brother and I were standing up with three laps to go because it was too intense to sit down. It was an amazing victory to witness!
I’m a new fan. I knew nothing about this.
Outstanding video – amazing finish and sportsmanship.
