So MRN made a few pointers that fox didn’t cover:
1. Everyone stopping on pit road and driving into pit lanes 15 & 18 are not allowed to do that… (Hamlin and Preece were told park it for practice cuz of that)
2. Normally teams can spray soda on their pit stalls to help drivers and the crew to get more grip, that is not allowed for the pit crew challenge
3. Turn four is elevated higher than turn one, that and no sticky pit shows why everyone is sliding

Chandler Smith is in the top 10. That’s a great practice speed for him.

It’s good to see Harvick in the #29, for old times sake

Fords looking good tonight. Brad for the win! Good finishes for Harvick, Logano, Buecher, and Blaney. God, I wanted to be there! Found myself broke af… Went to Wilkesboro in 79 with my brother in law to watch Bosco Lowe in his Ford Falcon that was dominating Hickory that year. I think he won 10 races running 311 CI compared to the Chevy’s running 355 CI. Bosco didn’t win that one, but when you compare Hickory to Wilkesboro… It was a lot bigger. I want to take my brother in law to a race. He is 71 now. He took me to so many races at Hickory back in the late 70’s. Memories that last forever. Just to go to Wilkesboro one more time. And Ray, forever the Ford Man except the 21. Above all, David Pearson was his favorite. Other than that anomolly, and he has a 69 Cougar; Ray has been forever a Ford fan. The models that he built in the 60’s were painstakingly perfect. He had lots of big rigs because he drove a truck for a bit. When he and my sister were dating and after they were married; at Sunday dinner at my Grandmother’s, Ray was listening to the race out in the car on MRN. Hoping that finances will improve soon and there is a good race this fall that I can take him to. It’s the least I could do for a brother since 1975. If you happen upon this O Ray Price, I love you brother.
