The open was more exciting than the actual race
Agreed. Sometimes Kyle Larson winning is just boring to me. Hopefully we get a new winner at the patriotic race, being the Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte
Per usual

It was the format imo. If they did what they used to it would’ve been better. Winner of each stage gets the top 3 positions then a final stage to finish it off. You win a stage you go to the back.
@Timechanger ! what do you mean ‘like they used to’?
At least I didn’t miss anything at work.
Fix the short track package now Nascar.
I cannot believe how horribly disappointing this was. I blame the format first.
Larson spanked the field tonight, I still say NASCAR needs to come back only this time with an improved short track package and also the track desperately needs a repave if they want to do this again next year and god willing it gets a points race.
I swear I’m like the only one who enjoyed this race
Ur not alone man! I thought it was great. It just looked bad cause larson whipped everyones butts!
I still prefer the 2021 short track package. We need like grooved tires and smaller brakes. The cars are too planted so I think it’s hard to move people and also there’s more room for error because you can’t capitalize on it. This means less passing opportunities.
I thought it was great. Way better than that crap show they call Texas
Thought it was great myself as a fan of this sport since the 90’s I was so happy to see this track brought back to life
@Mystic Ghost Texas was way worse lmao
Okay. I definitely preferred last year’s to this!
This race was an epic fail.
You’re joking.
@John if anything the next gen car was an epic fail the short track racing in the next gen cars has been horible becuase of the shitty package
This race was exactly like the 2020 bristol all star race. Someone prove me wrong
Minus the underglow lights, the Gen 6 car and the numbers being at the rear, you’re absolutely right
Go Larson!
Larson owned it!! But I was expecting a more aggressive race. Larry Mac did say North Wilkesboro was notorious for long green flag runs though
Everyone blaming the track etc, Goodyear brought a fumble of a tire that only fell off 1 second and then just stopped. That doesn’t make for good racing. In addition, this car has been a disaster at Short Tracks (especially so these), RCs for the most part and and Superspeedways have been sub par. Every other series this week put on a great show.
It’s a show like any all star event got what I expected
Longer with green flag pitstops would have been better, but i liked it
NASCAR works better with paperclip-esque ovals rather than with more circle-like racetracks like this one, at least that’s the case if you wanna see aggressive racing moves
I’m sure people nowadays would HATE places like Louisville (triangle short track with ONE very short straight) and Langhorne (mile-long almost-circle)
I mean this is North Wilkesboro, they literally said Bodine lapped the ENTIRE field in 1994.
