I had associated it with Mark Martin’s throwback

As mentioned by the others, that was Mark Martin’s Folger’s scheme in 1990 & 1991.

NASCAR should use this race to experiment next year. How about NO Competition Caution? Then everyone could decide on pitting, without any “artificial” breaks in the action. Then a whole new twist on race strategy will occur. Could make things very interesting!

Ty Gibbs is pretty competitive this year. He’s got talent, no doubt about that.
Man thats some good racing and in my opinion i wouldn’t mind seeing this stay the allstar or become a points race it provides great racing on a decent short track package

Now that’s stock car racing. Aerodynamics don’t mean a damn thing the fastest car does it mean a damn thing skill and patience of the driver man I wish they would come back full-time for the points race and add a few more old-school tracks I might actually give a dn again
