@Toxic the likely explanation outside of retaliation is a broke right rear to link which is on the back side of the hub which if it was broke before the second contact would force it to the left. but that would be hard to prove as if it wasn’t broke before it certainly is now. then the only evidence either way would be the data.
Hendrick will appeal and pay 25k

He’s in Portland Oregon for Xfinity. They will have to use someone that either is in trucks or someone like Newman that isn’t full time. Possibly hocevar, enfinger, or maybe lajoie and put someone in his seat for a week.
I’d actually want to see Matt DiBenedetto get another shot in cup he’s never had an opportunity like HMS. Plus he’s in the Chevy camp and Berry is finalizing a deal with SHR most likely.

I watched a quarter of the Indianapolis 500 this weekend and I can say I’m a fan. Nascar needs to get on there level not sure how or what they can do but those cars are fast and exciting to watch.

The Indy 500 was a hell of a race for Indy cars. Nascar has got to do something to the cars. This new car does show who the real drivers are. Dirt racing is definitely where it’s at. Never a dull lap. Freaking hard racing every lap especially here lately with Larson showing out.

@joracer1m an Elliot fan and that was dirty you shouldn’t do that. Denny is* lucky these cars are very tough. you can’t just spin someone out because they squeezed you on the wall. Chase ran out of talent and hit the wall. Maybe Denny was taking the air but Denny didn’t contact him and Elliot either ran out of talent or the wind being taken from his car made him hit the wall and he didn’t like that. Either way you can’t spin someone out on the right rear towards the wall that’s insanely stupid and dangerous.

you still don’t right rear someone. that’s damn-near murder. denny had a problem n sadly got into another driver. yes, denny ran him hard previous corner but YOU DONT RIGHT REAR SOMEONE. period.
That’s almost the same angle that Tony Roper and Blaise Alexander hit. I’ll be surprised if he isn’t diagnosed with a concussion this week based on the onboard. Judging by the velocity and trajectory of his head, he endured some pretty high G’s.

Would be nice to see in car from Chase and Brad. Also, final inspections will tell if there was a broken toe link. He could have just been fed up of Denny doing this to him time after time. Maybe he’s thinking since he isn’t in the playoffs at this point, he might take this year to stand his ground. There is still some things to look at before NASCAR can make a call though.
That was about as blatant a retaliation as you can get. That was more blatant than what Bubba did last year. Elliott should be suspended, end of story.
@Jonathan Martin I agree with everything except that it was more blatant than Bubba. How? Bubba drove down 3/4 of the track to get to Larson. Chase moved about 6-8 feet to the left. Still agree that unless there is something that we don’t know about that Chase should sit out this weekend, but come on man.
Looks intentional by Elliot. Scary angle we’ve seen before with horrifying results. NASCAR should park Chase for a week.
