I hope FRM realizes that Todd is very talented, and they let him stay next year, and maybe Zane gets a seat at SHR next year?
Let Todd have an
SHR ride
But the 4 is too high for Todd
Yeah send Zane to SHR if you want him to endure the same pain that stenhouse went through when he raced for a dying Roush in cup
Bob Jenkins must be silently cursing
Eric, I would love to see you cover the other series’ too. To get your insight on the truck and Xfinity races and drivers would be awesome.
Also I would like to see ARCA as well
Not enough people care about those series
@Homer Simpson negative, trucks and xfinity are one thing, ARCA shouldn’t even exist in my mind.
I hope Todd gets a full time seat next year with FRM. I wonder if they will have Todd and Zane in their rotation next year and have McDowell go to SHR.
I don’t. I hope he gets a seat with a better team to be honest
@81casperflip If SHR gets their stuff together Michael Mc-Do Well would live up to his name even more than he already is right now if he gets signed.
@Hero Kurogane It took me a moment to find the pun
I know NASCAR has something where they can revoke charters of teams who finish very low in the point standings. I think there’s a great chance they can revoke Rick Ware Racing’s #15 charter and if that charter gets revoked I think Front Row Motorsports will have a great chance to buy that charter and if they do buy that charter I would love to see them field a 3rd Full time team for Zane
I wouldn’t be surprised if Todd Gilliland gets a Toyota Cup seat considering his father David’s truck team and Todd’s seemingly unrecognizable talent
The thing with Hamlin is you have to figure out if he’s talking as a driver or as an owner, he wears both hats.
That’s a very good point
That’s pure fact.
I know winning the Daytona 500, its already a better season than usual…but Ricky Stenhouse has so far shown a bit more consistency this early in the year. Just 2 races outside the top 20. 3 top 10’s and 2 top 5’s. I’m expecting an early exit in playoffs, but so far I have been very impressed with Ricky
I hear ya
8 races in and still in the top 16 in points. Not a bad start at all.
Todd has quickly become a favorite to watch. He makes some great moves on the track. Deserves a good ride
Unfortunately since he’s been in these types of rides for so long I fear if some of these guys such as him McDowell Lajoie, I feel they would not be as good as we feel they would. They are skilled no doubt but the equipment would be a big difference. Now we haven’t seen that with this new car so maybe it would be different. But recently it hasn’t been good
@Timechanger ! I think people are confusing him with David Gilliland.
@DEI FAN agreed
Todd is trying to prove he deserves a ride, and he certainly is. his career is on the line, and he seems to be extra motivated.
Charters are good for team owners, not NASCAR. No one can start a NASCAR team without already having millions of dollars nowadays and this sport was built off small teams building their way up to the top.
@Ethan the Damon knight god F1 has “franchises” the charter system is the same thing.
It was a great thing to help nascar not die when they were at rock bottom. But when nascar is primed to grow, charters hurt that growth.
@Ethan the Damon knight god much more so than its ever been I think, when the d2s drunkenness wears off and people start talking about the racing, they’re in trouble
If AC unit itself doesn’t have controls or the controls aren’t doing anything, check to see if there’s a climate control panel on the wall. That will probably allow you to adjust the temperature. I used to work at a hotel and they added digital control panels to all the rooms but kept the old ac units. The control panels bypassed the original controls on the unit.
Hope that helps.
This happened to me a few years ago. The hotel self contained unit controls would not adjust anything.
Took me a while to find the wall mounted digital thermostat.
They had updated the controls but not the hardware.
Don’t blame them one bit about that.
But yeah, first time you encounter that, it’s confusing.
So I think the problem with Todd gilliland is that while he’s a talented driver, see COTA a few years ago, I think he was rushed up to cup too quickly and didn’t achieve the consistency needed in trucks to move up. So I think he might have the talent for cup but it’s definitely been a bit of a struggle since he had a higher learning curve. I think that’s why it’s taking this long to see some decent results.
I put Todd Gilliland in my fantasy lineup for Bristol and he finished 8th, it made me look really smart for once in fantasy!
It’s refreshing to see the 38 running well this year. Tod will have a ride full time next season if he keeps this up. Maybe SHR should be looking at him.
I would. Zane Smith puts a kink in things. I could see him with either FRM/SHR, or RFK (if they grab another charter), but Todd has got to be the 2nd best prospect Ford has right now, but SHR might try to move Riley Herbst, depending on how he finishes off this season. Ford is really interesting to look at right now, as far as who they have in their pipeline.
Yes, I to agree, Todd is stepping up. I just wish Harrison would as well. They both are great drivers.
Denny knew what he was buying into. They said that they might not be permanent
They are permanent until Nascar is up and running. It’s a way to maintain control, I don’t think they will make em vanish when people spent millions of dollars on them.
You are spot on about Todd Gilliland.
He has been making the most of the equipment he is in.
Gilliland has been really solid this year. Ahead of Bubba Wallace driving top tier equipment. And ahead of 2 SHR cars.
Not a fan, but after the speed the #23 team was showing at the end of the season last year, I really thought maybe they’d turned a corner. So far that hasn’t been the case.
I’m so sorry you’re homeless Eric. Things will pick up bud, just keep at it. You got a good thing going here.
I’m joking, of course. Be safe out there on the road. Thanks for bringing us all of the up to date news in nascar. I’m 42, been watching nascar since 1990, and you are currently my main source of nascar news. Actually, I’d say you’re my only source of nascar news (outside of the actual broadcasts). That’s no small feat my friend. Thank you!
McDowell is flirting with a playoff spot and Gilliland is impressing everyone. Definitely a team to watch.
