I wouldn’t be surprised if SHR did a similar thing as HMS did in Jimmie’s swan song season with the teammates running special Jimmie schemes throwback weekend, but with Harvick schemes

Hey Eric! I know it’s not a crown jewel, but his win at the Glen in 2006 ought to be mentioned. Especially since he outdueled Stewart in a barn burner of a finish, when Stewart was using the Glen as his personal playground.
START CAMPAIGN TO RUN 29 AT DARLINGTON FOR THROWBACK WKND AS WELL AS WILKESBORO…THAT WOULD BE REALLY GREAT FOR ALL THE FANS WHO SWARM DARLINGTON FOR THROWBACK WKND, THE ALL STAR RACE WILL BE SO LIMITED & EXPENSIVE FOR THE “COMMON” FAN!
Awesome to see this happen! Was hoping we’d get to see a really good throwback at *darlington* , but this is better than anything I could have hoped for!
I’m glad he’s able to do this. His first win at Atlanta 2001 was probably one of the best wins in history. That win for him was and will forever be memorable. Hope he has a great time driving that iconic 29. #4EVER
I love how much Stewart-Haas is doing to commemorate Kevin Harvick in his last year of Cup racing. He is a great driver. 60 wins and a championship is an incredible career
Before the end of the year I hope we get the backwards victory lap with the three finger salute. That always gets me in the feels and dust gets in both eyes somehow
I love this throwback scheme. There is so much history involving Dale Sr. in 2001, of which Harvick played a big part. Almost every significant race in 2001 could still be tied to Dale Sr. in one way or another.
Dale’s last race his driver, Michael Waltrip wins his first race.
Next week, Dale’s driver Steve Park wins at Rockingham. A track that Dale Sr. taught Park how to drive. Park to this day claims he felt like Dale was with him in the car.
Three races after Dale’s death, his replacement driver and rookie Kevin Harvick goes to Atlanta and wins over Jeff Gordon in the same fashion Sr. beat Bobby Labonte the year prior.
The next race at Daytona, Dale Jr. wins in a very Dale Sr. fashion by making his way through the field.
Tragedy strikes on September 11th, and the very next race Dale Jr. goes out and wins with a Budweiser Chevy donned with an American flag.
Finally, the season caps off by the kid Sr. traded blows, toted as the next big thing, and had a close friendly rivalry with, Jeff Gordon winning the championship. With it being Gordon’s last championship of his career. Try as Gordon might, he never catches Dale with seven championships. But the driver Gordon hand picks to be the next big thing does catch Dale.
Yeah Jeff Gordon was s a great racer, in the 90’s with Dale Earnhardt as a rival, then going into the next decade with rivals such as Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch… Then he was overshadowed by Jimmie Johnson and his dominance, only to go out in the 2015 championship where he would hand his ride over to Chase Elliott…
I still remember sitting in the bleachers along Gasoline Alley at my very first NASCAR race as a little kid and watching the young-gun #29 get that brickyard crown jewel win. Still have the hat from the track that day in my closet. What an amazing experience that was.
For me, the most memorable win from Harvick when he drove the 29 was when he won at martinsville in 2011. His battle with Dale Jr in the closing laps was great to watch at the time. Now as far as my favorite win from Harvick in the 4, I would say when he won at atlanta in 2018. It was long overdue for Harvick to win at Atlanta again and seeing him win live was special for me.
Atlanta win was the biggest for him and everyone for sure especially his team but also the viewer in person or on tv or even radio and possibly the newspaper a day later. Losing Dale Earnhardt was tragic and I feel like it couldn’t be topped that his car and team won the first race without him. The best tribute to how he as a driver also made a team that could hold the reins if he were to fall. He didn’t ever want someone not competitive in his seat.

It’s awesome to see this. I wish more drivers would do this. Oh and also keep up the great content eric
It’s a Ford and ruins it……..
paint scheme is beautiful and brings back great memories from the past!
I am not a Kevin Harvick fan but this is really cool respect to both teams for letting him do this
Agreed But I am a Kevin Harvick fan and more importantly I’m a Stewart Haas racing fan.
@Rob Rohrer I was trying to get that shirt that they have for this scheme but they have no adult small ):
@Transportationfan0923 buy a medium and start working out
@Steven A Yea, get a medium and wash it 1 time. It will fit.
This is amazing to see the 29 return for Harvick! As Mike Joy once said, ”What could be more fitting? What could be more special?”
A win!
I expect a lot of Harvick throwbacks this year not just from Kevin but from other drivers

They probably will. I think a lot of teams will do throwbacks at both Darlington and North Wilkesboro
@Andrew Meyer 2 throwback weekends!? Oh boy! I love throwback weekend!
Now I want to see the 28 car back full time in the cup series. RFK needs to expand and add the 28.

2011 Coke 600 was the most memorable for me. It was my second cup race, first 600 and being there witnessing the finish was insane

Was there, myself!

I’m not a diehard Harvick fan but this livery is epic. SHR just cranked it up to 11!
Not a Kevin harvick fan much but this paint scheme brings back memories and seeing his first win when I was 16 years old at time..good times.
