If I had a nickel for every time McDowell did a 360 spin I would have 2 nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice on the other hand the race was better than I expected
LMAO nice ref
McDowell is just a highlight reel, let’s be honest.
2 360s in one race
Last to 12th on last restart at Cota
Bo Duke jumped the turtles at Indy RC a couple years ago
Daytona 500 win
Wild helicopter spin at the Glen with LFR
Texas Twister
Aaahhh, Dr. Dofenshmirtz!!!

If this is what dirt races are like, then YEAH! Give us more of them! There were phenomenal battles during almost every moment. The only thing that sucks is that Suarez was a non-factor all day and something happened to Bowman on one of the last laps that killed his top 10 (didn’t see what). All in all though, awesome race, and McDowell gets the most stylish 11th place I’ve ever seen!
I don’t know how exactly he got there, but Bowman was driving through the inside dirt
This isn’t what dirt track races are like. Real dirt track races are WAY more exciting. Some of the best racing you’ll ever see.
Stenhouse spun his tires on the last restart and got sideways and into Bowman and cut Alex’s right rear
Check out world of outlaws sprint cars and lucas oil late models even better racing than what you saw today
Bowman got a flat tire with a few laps to go he stated on his Insta after the race.
So proud of my boy Justin Haley, watched his in car all race and he was absolutely wheeling it. What a rally for the 31 team after this terrible week!
That’s just Justin Haley being Justin Haley
That was a sweet paint scheme too
Yeah Justin Haley is underrated.
according to tony Stewart his name is Austin Haley
I was hoping Blaney would finally get him one, especially a Bristol Dirt! He ran good the whole race with no damage and with 8 to go spun and went to the back. I swear, it’s hard being a 12 fan. That 1st McDowell 360 spin was something else!
Bro I was wanting Blaney to win so bad. The man cannot catch a break.
Love Blaney but man is he snake bit. Blaney just needs some luck he’s gotta ton of talent, good team, terrible luck
As a Blaney fan, it was very frustrating watching a top 5 car in a top 3 spot get wrecked by Briscoe, the guy who wrecks the second most people, and finish outside of the top 20.
Plus, they didn’t even interview him after which was also annoying.
@Brody Weller Briscoe pulled a Chastain on Blaney
I would love to see them go to Knoxville or eldora or somewhere we don’t expect
That would be cool but I think those races would be wreck fests.
@Mac 1666 Exactly. People complain about this for wrecks and the solutions they give would be even worse for that.
But that’s a part of dirt racing you have cautions because people spin out I don’t understand why people get butt hurt about it
@Brendan Schuett ✌️
@Brendan Schuett the people who want eldora arnt the same people as the ones whineing about yellows
I feel like Almirola generally struggles, but when he manages to actually keep his car in the top 10 bad luck strikes every time. Feel for him for sure. Tony has had a rough go of it the past few years.
Man he has been having luck like that all year. Seems like every time he has a good run disaster strikes. And we all know SHR needs some good runs.
Almirola looked really good in the first half of last years regular season if he wasn’t so awful at road courses his season probably wouldn’t have looked as bad
Yeah, fifteen years of bad luck.
I honestly think the dirt racing brings a lot of drivers and fans back to their roots. The whole thing was exciting and even though none of my drivers won, that ending was pretty dope.
Dude did you see how empty the stands were? It was always packed for Bristol night racing on pavement
@tom hansen the spring race has always been way lower attendence. Ive been going to bristol for years and there was may more people here than in 2017-2019
Love Bristol dirt and this was a pretty good race. Would definitely be open to at least 1 or 2 more dirt tracks, they are more enjoyable than most 1.5mi races.
it took the good folks at Bristol an entire 3 years to figure out how to create a proper raceable dirt track. It was finally a good race at Bristol, but the concrete was always a good race at Bristol. No need to add more dirt tracks unless they want to create another break-away series.
I was there in turn 2 tonight, Chase Briscoe actually hit the “speed bumps” when he hit Blaney and spun him
It was also sad when they announced the passing of a young racer losing his life in a dirt track race. Thoughts and prayers to the family. I was also think that an incident like this makes the team owners enforce the rule of not allowing their drivers to do dirt race on the side. Not that nascar is 100% safe. But we just don’t know when our time is up. So we just feel the need to live and take advantage while we have the time.
It was a complete freak incident, I’ve never seen anything like it, dirt cars have damn near all the safety that cup cars have, the wreck was during qualifying, it was similar to the Ryan Newman wreck at Daytona, where he was lucky to walk away from, so sad because Justin was loved by many. And very talented, I feel for his fiancé and his family
I was there, and I am dirty and I am tired and I walked a good 6 miles, but besides the cup race I watched in like ….2005? as a kid when Harvick came back from 4 laps down, that was the best race I’ve seen at Bristol.
McDowell is underrated af. Pretty sure he just gained a lot of fans after that epic save.
I’ve been a McDowell fan for a while. The man can wheel a car.
Did it twice!
yeah did it 2 times in tonights race. Now if he was really talented he wouldn’t have spun in the first place! lol
That was a great race. Felt like NASCAR finally figured out how to run a dirt race like Briscoe said. Loved it.
Josh Berry is deserving of more cup seats in the future, he’s proven he can perform
Anybody should be able to perform in a Hendrick car and why is Berry deserving because his crew chief had to make pit stradegy calls two weeks in a row to get him up toward the front. He couldn’t get up there on his own.
@Bk Bk I’d like to see you or anyone here do better
@Jeff is that all can do is deflect. I probably can do better, and many xfinitly drivers can do better.
It all goes to show that it is not Chase… it is the car / crew.
Yep. Let’s hope he replaces chase. He is a better driver, better personality, and cares about his craft. Unlike chase who wants to goof off and squander his career and snowboard and drink Mountain Dew on the couch all day!
First time at Bristol, brought a friend who had never seen NASCAR before, after tonight he said that was the best thing he’s ever watched. What a race!
This is the last dirt race at Bristol.
amazing race. a dumb call to mess it up. none the less, overall a good race so glad for nascar to gain a new fan. hopefully they can keep them.
@BigRooster proof?
@BigRooster agreed. First time there and it was amazing, but the stands were completely empty. Couldn’t imagine what that place was like in the mid/late 90’s
Think on Easter weekend, turnout would have been better on Sat night. Pretty cool race, lots of action the whole time
They need to race on Saturday night. Then I think they’ll see an uptick in attendance, hard to want to go to an event when it ends at 10 pm on Sunday and you have to work on Monday
