Ladies and gentlemen, we got him
You copied someones comment
Scene vault found him 2 years ago, so just a bit late, lol.
Vintage meme comment. Dare to be different and come up with something original, my guy…

Damn! L.W. Wright got arrested in the place where former WWE wrestler Kane is now the mayor.
Lol I was thinking about that too cuz I have a legit Kane mask in the case next to my nascar stuff and Kane recently sent me a bunch of campaign swag cuz I used to live there.
Wait WHAT
My man
@Zenon 45 haha yeah man. Glenn Jacobs f.k.a. “Kane” is the mayor of Knox County, TN.
@Jordan Bondurant god i used to love him when i watched the WWE, nice to see he’s moved on to a decent job
@Zenon 45 I haven’t watched since I was at Mania 21 but I still can’t get used to seeing/hearing Undertaker out of character lol but yeah Kane was awesome and a good dude in real life
I never thought this case would ever get solved that is hilarious. Maybe he’ll WRIGHT a book about it in jail lol
The dude needs to sell his story. A movie around his life would be interesting to every Nascar fan. Can’t believe he has been arrested!
It’s almost like he broke laws
@Dyslexic Batnam right? But the fact they finally found and charged him is pretty crazy after all this time.
Catch me if you can type movie the stock car version.
Would be a great movie
Way better than Cole trickle and on fire like Ricky Bobby.
The Scene Vault ROCKS! It was a great paper back in the day and is missed by many.
I love how it took them 40 years to find him. I don’t even know why they did he’s old they should have just let him be.
Well they aren’t arresting him for something that happened 40 years ago, he’s still a con man and is still stealing. You can’t just let someone keep breaking the law just because they are old
doesn’t sound like these charges are from the NASCAR race 40 years ago. sounds like hes been running the same scam and it finally caught up with him
Excellent collab Eric! This is the first I’ve heard of him being caught, definitely watching more of the podcast.
What a really fascinating story. Can’t wait to hear part 2
The part when an old man dies in prison?
I’ve only just gotten into Nascar starting last season, and this was one of the first Nascar stories I heard about/ was interested in. And I can’t believe I’m here witnessing history unfold right along with you Eric! Amazing!
awesome to hear about this story … do you think the interest in this story lead to his arrest ? it is true about how people have 2 sides to them… personal vrs business (money) soooo many stories about drivers and teams we are loosing to time
At this point in time, LW Wright belongs in the NASCAR Hall of Fame, not in a jail cell for crimes he did 40 years ago. #FreeLW
give him the million dollar trophy for being the hide and seek champion from 1982-2021. he’s better than my brain sells!
I had heard something about that years ago, and truthfully I had forgot all about it.
Interesting story/podcast today though.
Did not expect that.
Keep up the good work.
The story of LW Wright has a lot of twist and turns. Now in jail for the latest crimes he committed. This is so fascinating to say the least.
Loved hearing about this. More please.
Just epic. Really enjoyed this interview and also reading the stories on the website. Still, all this info needs to be presented on YouTube somehow. Would also love to see a book or movie come out of all this. Great job Rick!
Loved the crossover episode. The story of LW is very interesting and I am glad Rick took the time to get the story. The Scene Vault is one of my favorite podcast. I love our sports history and those guys are trying to preserve it. Thank you for sharing the story with your listeners.
This story gives me the same creepy feeling that I have about D.B. Cooper and the escape of the prisoners from Alcatraz back in the 60’s. Just sort of creepy and so odd, as in today’s NASCAR world there is no way a person could race at Talledega and then just…..disappear….B-NASCAR FAN-Gardner
