@Bee Kay one of the main goals was to bring more parity to the series, and it’d be hard to say it hasn’t succeeded at that based on the current results. 41 races with the next Gen car, 19 different drivers have won a race in it (counting only points races, would go up including races like The Clash, duels, etc). That’s a lot more of an even field than prior, so that does create parity. I am not exactly sold on the car yet, it has its safety concerns, short track package is still rough, and lately all the races seem to be ending in GWC which definitely takes away from the races, but so far the car has at least succeeded in bringing more parity.
I do feel like, as the regular season winds down, lajoie’s playoff chances will fade, but hopefully it’s true that spire is sinking more money into that #7.
The Josh Williams situation is what happens when folks start to lose faith in doing things the “right way.” Maybe it’s just him, maybe there are others in the garage equally as frustrated. I don’t follow Xfinity enough to know what the attitude in the garage is like. Whatever the case, the fact that Williams felt like he needed to show NASCAR what for should be concerning. They can easily make a martyr out of him, and then all bets are off.
If Corey sneaks a win in at Daytona later this sumer, BOOM! He’s in the playoffs. Wild that he’s up there and super stoked on his performance this year. Cant think of a more deserving guy.
As much of a tony stewart fan as I am I’m also a fan or Cory’s and unless ford/shr can’t step up there game I’d rather see cory stay at spire. Now if shr and ford can step it up then yes I’d love to see him in the 4.
With his analogy, what William’s did was the equivalent to a baseball coach approaching an umpire and kicking dirt. William’s has ALOT more invested with his car and sponsors for nascar to just kick him off the field and discuss his displeasure in the trailer after the race.
Excited to see Aric in the Xfinity series, but I hope Gray gets a full time ride some time, I feel like he’s got some potential if he’s given good equipment.
The amount of screen time that Josh Williams and his sponsor have gotten this week makes whatever penalty NASCAR throws at him worth it. He definitely gained some fans.
There arent many surprises in the points in my opinion. There is so much talent in the sport and though the big dawgs still have advantages, theyre not AS advantageous as previous years. Its an exciting time to be see who is able to remain consistent!
Being real though, it’s crazy how much of a step forward RFK and Lajoie have gained. It’s unlikely Lajoie can get another developmental program, but he might be able to earn a decent ride if he continues this streak of overachieving

Josh earned many new fans last week
The Gen 7 still living up to its name for parity, seeing Corey being in the playoffs on points rn is amazing!
A wreck did most of the passing for Corey.
Yet another win for NASCAR! This new car is a clear success! Thank you Steve Phelps!
@NASCAR Shillit’s really not

@Bee KayI think you may have missed the joke

If Corey holds his playoff spot until we’re 3/4 the way through the regular season I’ll say he’s on the way up

Eric made a good point about Elliot bumper causing a caution, then running without the bumper, and black flagging Josh.
I would really like to see Corey in a top tier car to see what he can do, always seen him as a good guy and he puts the work in.

Corey is doing what he need to do, to get a better car in 2024, hope he gets!
Hope Lajoie continues this and Shr considers him as an option for the 4.

SHR doesn’t deserve him.
Corey LaJoie deserves a chance in better equipment next year. I’m quickly becoming a fan. He’s getting the best out of his car every race this year.
Harvick’s replacement at SHR?

Thank you Eric for anyone without a Nascar radio subscription your channel is the next go to for Nascar daily news❤

Drivers that aren’t afraid to voice/show their opinion is NASCAR’s biggest fear.

I’m one
I’ve become a fan and never heard of him. This just sounds like something Jimmy Spencer would do.

I sure hope Lajoie makes playoffs. What a great racing personality.
