The pain for Stewart Haas continues
Tony has alot of bad karma to account for
More to come, just wait
@C. D. more Gene then anything
@C. D. Bad karma for what?
Yeah, Harvicks been carrying this team hard.
What a bad week to be named Chase…
Chase Purdy
LMAO
@therago1456he prolly didn’t do that well either
I’m so frustrated with SHR right now
And honestly I don’t think frustrated is the correct word for this situation
I am too. I just don’t get what’s up with them.
I’m starting to think Briscoe preece and almirola just are t that good. Harvick is 4th in points. Unless they are intentionally sabotaging the 10 14 and 41 it seems like it could also be a driver issue.
@Kyle Briscoe has shown on the shorter ovals this year that he’s got skill. He got three straight top fives at one point, got a top ten at Phoenix this year, and ran top five at North Wilkesboro. His team just sucks on intermediates. Like, legendary bad on them. I don’t think he’s the problem at all over there (at least on the 14 team, though he does have more growing to do as a driver). As for the other guys, they do just kinda suck
Dude needs a new crew chief
Holy Penalty… I guess you could say this is a bad week for the Chase’s
Chase vs penalties and bad luck
only bc hendrick don’t like being the chief CHEATER
Glad that Nascar is at least being open with what was modified. Nice to see as a fan that there is somewhat of an explanation towards what part was modified.
Now we need pictures and data evidence proving how this illegal 2 dollar part and a 20th place finish is worth of 250 thousand dollars and 125 points
@RanndomUndead The price of the part and finishing position should never be considered in the punishment. The rules are the rules.
@RanndomUndead… Trust me, there are no $2 parts from NASCAR’s source suppliers…
@Captain Nebulous the rules are dumb because the gen 7 car is less functional than a soap box and only exist so Nascar higher ups can reroute those fines into a “donation” fund which they can pocket money from.
@RanndomUndead Man where you come up with these things? Do you have a Bullshit Generator app or something?
I wonder if the offense itself was egregious enough to warrant an L3 penalty, or if NASCAR felt their previous penalties weren’t being taken seriously enough
Um nevermind, just realized the part was actually Counterfeit
Prolly both
@Teddy Malinowskiyeah, that’s prolly THE most black and white part of the book lmao You hey can’t be doing this SHR!
I think at this point, it’s a little bit about what I thought. The whole mess earlier in the season was clear not to mess with parts regardless of your reasoning.
I think they’re sending a blunt final warning for anyone still thinking about trying this, and dropped the hammer on the first non-contender they found.
Holy CRAP.
No wonder he’s always running like 30th every week. I was wondering if they were experimenting with some things and thats why they were running so poorly. That is BIG.
That’s def NOT why they were running badly….. Smh
@DIY Chad 726 Prob not but i mean why else would he be running 30th? Explain that.
He was running 15 to 20ish a lot. Not 30m.
@Mikael Haggard beginning of recent races Briscoe would be at the tail end or even a lap down. He worked hard to get these crappy cars to mid pack.
@smalls3187 he’s a good driver.
Championship race should be at Charlotte in my opinion , Darlington would be a great option too , a challenging track that creates excitement.
It just need to be at a track where track position isn’t 90% of how you end up running, needs to be somewhere where they can actually pass if they have the better car
Yep, because Phoenix is not a championship caliber venue. Your opinion is valid.
Make it a track that requires an actual race driver: North Wilkes.
Charlotte as the championship Finale works since most teams have their Headquarters in North Carolina. Would make the “End Of Season Party” close to home and you finish everything where it should.
North Carolina in early November can be a miserable and rainy 40 degrees, or it can be a hot and sunny 85. It’s really kinda hard to say with any certainty.
The NACA duct is bacically a “V” bowl shaped vent used in aircraft mainly; it allows for cooling in environments where low drag is needed. You see em usually on the rear windows that provide air to the helmets.
Does the shape itself of the duct create a vacuum within it causing air to be forced through it I’m guessing??
@DIY Chad 726it catches faster moving air through the tighter region of the duct before gradually expanding. As the duct expands, the air slows down, but also increases in pressure allowing for more cooling. So I believe it’s more to do with airspeed and pressure
@DIY Chad 726you might be right with the window ones though since the airflow would have to reverse
Have been waiting on this video since I saw this announcement. Eric your penalty breakdown videos are by far the best I’ve seen. I’m a long time nascar fan but still struggle with the rules when it comes with this new car. Thank you for all the clarification.
Great point Eric, no point to R&D overspending for a miniscule improvement in performance and then get smacked with a 6 figure fine and losing crucial standings points. The teams wanted NASCAR to do something to get the costs down and they did. The teams are spending to make counterfeit parts for no reason.
I personally appreciate that NASCAR are so strict with their adjudicating of the next-gen car, you have to hand it to them that their penalties have been pretty consistent the last two-ish years.
Eric you ABSOLUTELY hit the nail on the head with that point about teams spending money. I grew up on the inside of the racing industry and even in the lower ranks, if you’re not spending 10s of millions of dollars every year trying to skirt under the law and gain an advantage, you lose. It’s a really bad culture that has only grown more and more prominent in racing, specifically NASCAR. It’s no wonder teams cry about not making money, they spend it all on trying to cheat their way around the rules to gain an advantage.
Teams don’t care. They will still complain about not making a dollar or two. As Eric stated they wanted NASCAR to step in (not the first time). If the teams gave a damn about their bottom line they would be making wholesale changes right now… but they are not. This isn’t the mid-2000s anymore.
When the competition is so tight, you have to find gray areas. Sounds like you started watching 45 minutes ago
Eric you are doing a good job, man. Thanks for the content.
Great idea to run in Charlotte for the finale! The weather is mild here and the racing has been outstanding. Phoenix not so much.
Chances of rain in Phoenix are small. Nearly every other track is susceptible to rain.
Excellent point.
