We love to see the late night out of the groove! What a great day for this channel
Nascar has to have the worst website. I have a hard time finding things. They will hide qualifying results in some other article.
It was really cool having Carl Edwards being in the booth. Last time we last saw him talk about NASCAR was all the way back in 2017.
@Jamie Warnerwhat does this have to do with Carl edwards?
I think Carl did an interview not too long ago about Bristol dirt
@Jamie Warner poor guy
I think this is the year we’ve been waiting for with Byron
As a Byron fan I am all for it!
Byron stood back and saw the leaders wreck and win. Byron will be in the Champ 4 at this rate.
@DC322 statistically he’s the best driver this year and also since stages became a thing everyone that had like 5 stage wins in the first 8 races won the cup
Chastain must be making your job so much more fun lol. The 78 car was beautiful today by the way! One of the best pain schemes out there.
I really loved the pain schemes today. Also showing footage of the history of darlinton was fun as well.
Bill Elliot calling Ross chastain and Kyle larson children after the wreck that ultimately took them out was hilarious. Accurate with what him vs every other driver in the field. Was pretty entertained by bill Elliot and his hot takes that i heard from him.
That’s just a old man talking, he done the same as Larson when he raced
I like Bill in the booth
I feel that Chastain needs to chill a little bit.
I was hoping chase would’ve won, would’ve been a cool moment for his dad to be in the booth when he won
Happy Mother’s Day!
Eric I love your channel
Happy Mother’s Day Eric

Happy Mother’s Day
I think we all forget that Chastain is an 8th generation Florida man. Once you remember that, everything he does makes sense.
How does being an “8th generation Florida man” justify being an idiot?
@AJGaming3031 you answered your own question big dawg
@AJGaming3031it was not his fault. He got extremely tight on the 2nd to last restart. That’s a racing incident.
Yeah Chastain did it to Larson but it feels like nobody wants to talk about the fact that everyone was doing the same thing today. Truex caused two cautions today doing the same thing.
Yeah truex is lucky that the scapegoat “did the thing” again. He ruined a *lot* of people’s day
Exactly! 6′ 7″ unathletic Eric Estepp loves to pick on Chastain without mentioning what Truex or Larson did… Biased spaghetti worm
@santacruzer Larson didn’t cause a wreck. Big difference
@santacruzer He plays Basketball..
Yes well aware but Larson has been wrecked more!
Keselowski keeps up with the strong runs. Was in top 7 all day
He’s the best Ford this season I’m rooting for him
@Shaggy Rodgers kevin harvick?
@norandomstuff when the team was nowhere in the top last few years. Then this year, Brad is running upfront most races, that does translate to a win. If your not running upfront for most races a win is less likely.
@NoRandom Welp, the more you’re in the top 10, the more you have a chance at a top 5
The more in you’re in the top 5, the more chances of a top 3
The more you’re in the top 3, the better chance you have a getting a win. Luck or speed
I thought Larson was the control car on the last restart. The Fox announcers stated so. On Larson’s in car camera, Cliff Daniels can be heard telling Larson he is the choose car. Then Chastain can clearly be heard taking off nearly a second before Larson did. Seems like the wreck all started with Chastain jumping the restart but nobody is saying anything after the announcers mentioned it.
Exactly! How was that not a penalty for jumping the restart. Full disclosure idk the rules for restart/control car rules. It just didn’t look right that Ross got an advantage for starting in second.
The last restart before Larson and chastain were taken out, Chastain was the lead car which was clearly stated during the broadcast. The restart before that the flag man wave green after Larson didn’t restart during the restart zone.
Wrong
The booth was wrong.
You are right, i think just at the moment we saw that image, chastain should have been taken to the back of the field, but suddenly It was all forgotten, simply amazing…. I guess there is no rules for Ross and nascar is good with that
Rule one when wrecking someone. Don’t wreck yourself.
For a mid driver to make this boneheaded move is one thing. For a driver who is supposedly one of the raw talents doing so?? Anyone defending Ross today is a meat rider and I’m not taking that back. At least someone like Eric is willing to call out the bullshit unlike all these d riders I’m seeing online.
@Syed I. Ahmed Cry harder.
@Syed I. AhmedEspecially considering Ross got into the wall earlier at end of stage 2 and nearly took out Truex because of it.
@Syed I. AhmedI don’t like the energy you bring to this thread
Respect for “Out of the Groove” and you getting it mentioned live. That was exciting to hear you getting respect from the Nascar family.
@Robert Moranwhy so bitter?
@Robert Moran Are you able to articulate your grievance with Eric at all? (Or is my polysyllabic word over your head?)
You’re forgetting that earlier in the race Ross pinched Larson into the wall on a restart. Larson was just giving it back.
Yeah, absolutely.
Same thing I was thinking, Larson was just repaying the favor
Nah if you watch the replay Larson was sliding up into Ross it was not on purpose.
Loved having Carl Edwards in the booth, would be great to have him back. Bill Elliott’s comments were entertaining as well.
Carl Edwards was really good in the booth. If he decides not to race again, would like to see him on a commentary team for either networks. But overall nice to see him and Kasey Kahne back at the track again
I love how NASCAR just let Ross get away with jumping the restart. Should have been served a drive through penalty and never been up there to take out himself and Larson
Todd Guilliland and Harrison Burton are surprising people.
There was a previous incident between Kyle and Ross earlier when Ross gave him no room on the wall so Kyle returned the favor on the restart with 13 left to go
