Perfectly written public relations bullshit as all drivers do as they are told to do from the bosses

LOL, it took him a week and a half. No way did a PR guy write this. This was his own doing.

@Timothy Latham I said in my own comment that it seemed like he took his time to reflect at the very moment he made his statement, which is probably why it sounded like he doesn’t have any regrets. Pretty dumb; just showing he’s more of a robot than a human.

@Timothy LathamYeah, this sounds like him. The PR guy would tell him to say he did it and won’t do it again or do a Tiger Woods and lie through his teeth.

You can tell he still feels the decision he made was justified.

Eric Dorsey June 6, 2023 at 10:39 pm

It was, and the fact that NASCAR isnt even considering suspending Cendric says all you need to know. That NASCAR is out to get Hendrick drivers this year.

Reply
Timothy Latham June 6, 2023 at 10:56 pm

@Eric Dorsey It wasn’t justified. Blaise Alexander died in that same spot 20 years ago from the same thing. Right-rearing anyone isn’t justified, ever.

@Eric Dorsey Evey penalty HMS had from NASCAR this year was warranted

@Eric Dorsey cindric showed smt data profile g he wasn’t at fault

Reply
TrooperA113 June 7, 2023 at 12:11 am

@Eric Dorsey idk why you think it’s cindric’s fault because I think he couldn’t judge the corner turning a bit early. Austin Dillion made his statement right after he crashed or a hour before he could see the data or the footage probably.

I’ve got 20 that Denny tries to instigate something with Chase, to see if he can trigger him, especially all of the run-ins they’ve had in the past.

Reply
Lovey Barkley June 6, 2023 at 11:59 pm

Denny’s gonna do all the damage on track because I’m pretty sure after Charlotte Elliott’s on that list with bowman and Chastain.

Cloudmonks June 7, 2023 at 12:03 am

Agreed, Hamlin is a cry baby, I didn’t see him whining when Flubba did it to Kyle Larson and then went and attacked Kyle and pushed an official, all that was ok, it’s only wrong now bc it happened to him personally

Turd Ferguson June 7, 2023 at 1:19 am

Not a fan of denny, but didn’t chase instigate a fight between Noah gragson and Ross chastain 2 weeks ago?

Reply
Easy E Network June 7, 2023 at 1:33 am

Denny won’t because he knows what will happen now. I honestly think if he does something to make him mad, NASCAR will penalize Denny by suspending him.

Reply
Easy E Network June 7, 2023 at 1:33 am

@Turd FergusonHarvick instigated the fight between Jeff and Brad at Texas, what is your point?

Reply
tMatt June 6, 2023 at 10:55 pm

Nascar drivers along with politicians are great at speaking words without actually saying anything.

@Patrick Evans What do you suggest, specifically, that NASCAR to change? Ideas? (Complaining and criticizing is so… easy. We all know that!)

@Chuck the brindle pittie duh…ok Chuck. Guess you figure it’s heading the right direction. Just sayn…

Drivers who intentionally wreck somebody should be paying the replacement costs of the cars they wreck. It would stop immediately.

Reply
Easy E Network June 7, 2023 at 1:22 am

No it wouldn’t. Make the sponsors pay by sitting the whole car out for a full race.

Reply
Lovey Barkley June 6, 2023 at 11:57 pm

That’s is the most bootleg apology I’ve ever seen. However I’m not that surprised its chase Elliott.

Reply
Easy E Network June 7, 2023 at 1:24 am

You want him to say the boring thing and a fake apology like Larson kind of did. I mean Larson was sorry he said the word, but made up for it in other ways. Chase might admit it was intentional later, but if he never says it was intentional, then I believe him.

Chris Murray June 7, 2023 at 1:38 am

He will after he wins the ship this year. 2 road courses and Nashville coming up where he won last year. He’s going bounce back

Reply
James Copeland June 7, 2023 at 12:08 am

But no apology, no not sorry.

I don’t blame him for Not Apologizing,You think Denny Shamlin would apologize?!?! Hell No He Wouldn’t

Reply
Jeffrey Snipes June 7, 2023 at 4:57 am

Why does he owe you an apology, isn’t agreeing with nascar ruling enough and accepting the consequences.
At least he didn’t cry about the ruling.

Reply
Mike Wallace June 7, 2023 at 12:31 pm

Sorry for what? No apology needed.

Captain June 7, 2023 at 1:04 am

The severity of that wreck was without a doubt not the intended outcome, but it was. This has happened before when drivers retaliated out of anger, one that comes to mind is when Edwards caught the right rear of Keselowski in a similar manner and sent him on his roof into the wall which was a scary crash as well. Spinning a driver out is one thing but hooking them in the right rear at that speed knowing they are headed towards the wall, that is when the “payback” is going way overboard.

Chuck the brindle pittie June 7, 2023 at 1:12 am

Tbh idk if he was even thinking it was gonna send him head on. In those types of moments I don’t believe they are even thinking of the outcome. All they are thinking I’d screw that guy and I’m going to get him back. And he went for it. He didn’t want to send him head on but he definitely wanted to get back at him

Reply
Ken Faught June 7, 2023 at 2:45 pm

He did not know he was going into the wall …lets not forget that Chase was along for the ride …

I despise the money-cow, suck-up response here. And come on, Chase Elliot, just say you did it and move on. You’re good. You’re status is locked by fan opinion.

This is an odd deal. If you are a new NASCAR fan, meaning that you have not been watching NASCAR for over 50 years it is possible that you simply have no clue. Go back in time and watch the entire 1979 Daytona 500. Watch the entire race. This will give you an idea of the role wrecking drivers on purpose and fighting has played in building the foundation of NASCAR’s mega wealth and fame.
