3 rookies, 1 veteran, overuse their brakes to the point of failure…

Meanwhile, 30 other drivers, multiple race winners, season champs, made it through the race, just fine.

What a coincidence?!?

Brake failures are among the most disgusting impacts these type of impacts killed many drivers and seriously injured many there no joke if you have a brake failure its gonna hurt

He sounded goofy being interviewed after he was “cleared.” What’s the point of an evaluation, if they miss something can viewers can see???

Some disorientation is to be expected, even among these finely tuned athletes. The adrenaline is still pumping until they actually sit for awhile. Testing at the Care Center is extremely thorough, they’re not going to risk a lawsuit because of something they “missed”. But CTs, MRIs done at a hospital, can often display the slightest bit of brain shifts, which even the driver may not notice for 24-48 hours. I’d be willing to bet he went in for further evaluation, he performed poorly on some head movement/rapid eye tests, and based upon additional testing as well as his symptoms, they put him under concussion protocol.

Just a few hours ago nascar put up a safety update video on the changed they made to the car, doesn’t seem like anything has helped

Reply
Weekly Sports Network June 9, 2023 at 4:52 am

That’d going to come into the cars at Atlanta

Not sure if they would have helped at all anyway

Reply
Manuel Zamora June 8, 2023 at 11:04 pm

Can we just go back to the old car?

Reply
Yet Another Family Guy Channel June 9, 2023 at 11:24 am

that would’ve been a concussion in the old car

Reply
Andrew June 8, 2023 at 11:06 pm

Those hits killed drivers in the past.

Reply
Danny Daugherty June 9, 2023 at 12:26 am

i would bet with all the problems that nascar and the new cars with concussions if a team or driver got the right lawyer nascar could be looking at some serious charges

Johnny June 9, 2023 at 4:27 pm

Not at all, racing is dangerous period. We as NASCAR fans have gotten spoiled as the last death was 22 years ago. I don’t think any other motor sport has gone that long with out a death. That kind of hit is gonna hurt now matter how “safe” the car is.
