Flooding possible in poor drainage areas according to twc and it will be cloudy at 5 when they race cup today but the track may get flooded

Too Much Standing Water
There’s parts of the tracK that has 2-3 inches of standing water
sometimes too wet is too wet and no tyre in the world can grip on said conditions

Sunny and 87 in Daytona where this series has raced on the 4th of July since 1961. Obviously the racing gods are giving their opinion! Daytona under the lights Friday, Saturday and Sunday is one of the greatest racing events held on the 4th of July.
Exactly. We did just fine for 60 years of the fourth of July race being at Daytona.
What about all the times it rained like hell at Daytona

@Cee Infiniti and they fixed a lot more things that weren’t broken. And Daytona in the summer means even more now than it did in the past. It’s not like they took away a date from Daytona.

I know NASCAR wants to finish the feeder series race today, but safery needs to rule, especially considering what happened in the rain at Spa this weekend! Fortunately, the Cup race weather looks good.
This circuit looks cool, especially the kink and high speed sweeping turn on the back straight.
