Doesn’t matter where it is, lightning within six miles means delays. That’s just how it is, and that’s how it is with OTHER sports, not just NASCAR.

If we never got rid of Road America, the sloppy mess that happened today would not have occurred. Honestly the biggest joke I’ve ever seen. Security tells fans to leave the event when they did not have to, they said they would get the race back going, and then 15 minutes later they called it. We got rid of Road America for this cute show and it turned out a disaster like everyone said it would be
With Lightning it would have happened too.

For those complaining, you really think any fans, crew, or drivers want to be out in Chicago at night? They can kind of avoid the violence during daylight but forget it at night. Hopefully it was called early enough that everyone can get to wherever they’re staying safely.
Maybe they should have pushed up the start time for this race instead of showing a rerun of Law and Order.
Even NBC’s great broadcast team won’t be able to save this disaster of a race.
