Great post race stream again as always. Thanks for answering all my questions to my superchats. Glad Chad Knaus gave a shout out to Rockford Speedway. Well deserved. Hope it lives on somehow.

SVG proved that Supercar drivers are no fools when It comes to racing on the streets.

As for the venue….it didn’t strike me as a great layout but it made a decent race in the end. Who knows what the future of this track or other street races could be. We in Toronto would love to see them come with the Cup cars on the Exhibition place layout

I envy the Aussies and Kiwis. They are motorsport heaven.

Upset? Doubt. I mean, SVG’s likelihood of winning was small, but it was there, and it was his talent that was gonna carry him.

I think pretty much every caution was warranted and they were very hesitant to throw them until it was completely clear the driver was stuck/something was on the track. Loved the single-file restarts, loved the lack of cautions for stages. I sound like a boomer, but those things really made this feel like a much more legitimate and natural race. The GWC was testing me, though LOL.

Haley was my pick so I was excited to see him up front, glad SVG won though. He deserved it way more.

Way to svg. Coverage was piss poor here in Nz but we stopped work to listen to it on live radio

I like that it still had way more action than an F1 race.

SVG confirms 2024 in Australia then 2025 open to NASCAR..
His attitude to this race was RESPECT to all the drivers because they were participating in THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP. You have to love that approach.
Not all drivers can do what SVG just did.

Give him a year on ovals to practice, and then he’ll be winning more races.

He is the Kyle Larson/Chase Elliott/Kyle Busch of Supercars. He is the best right now, and one of the best to ever do it. You thought Marcos was good, SVG will be REALLY good in NASCAR, especially with the new car

This was one of my biggest takeaways from today’s race was the Bagman bringing excitement to the race like an F1 announcer! Loved it!

Dude, that race was fantastic. The beginning was exciting, FAR from a dumpster fire as you put it. Can’t believe you found something to complain about. Going in, I thought the spectacle would be really cool but the race would be a snooze fest. I was happy to be wrong.

To be honest I think nascar could try to make this a yearly tradition. After Chicago, have one street race a year in a new city every few years. It could be a 4th of July tradition. (Similar to the Indy 500 & Come 600 for memorial day). Just a thought.

If you’re Australian ro NZ, we all knew he would be a top 10 driver with a 50% change of winning. He is a machine behind ANY car, open wheelers, GT cars, quad bikes, WRC, drifting, iRacing, sprint cars, 12 hour, 24 hour races, Le Manns, SPA, Daytona, Bathurst, Supercars, Motorbikes. He is honestly an amazing driver in so many different cars. He knows how to look after his tyres, he knows to be patient, he knows how to attack. In supercars, he is the BEST and looking after his tyres and knows when to activate them and his passing skills are second to none.

This was the best Nascar race I have watched since Jr’s prime time. NASCAR IN THE RAIN ON A ROADCOURSE on 4th July weekend. COME ON NOW! This is what we need.

IMO Ovals are dead. This product on a different street course everyweekend. Sign me up. Keep the big ovals do it 50/50 for 10 years phase out with electric transition

You gotta be joking like the street race was pretty good but your take are hilarious

18th to 1st…you have to admit that no other driver on track achieved as many passes as SVG did in the final stage.

Happy for SVG. Hopefully this will attract fans internationally. And get guys like Lewis Hamilton or Josef Newgarden to try NASCAR
