Great race. Sucked it couldn’t finish though. And to anyone getting mad at NASCAR for not restarting the race, do you not remember what happened at Daytona last year? There’s no pleasing NASCAR fans, is there?
They could of started the race a hour earlier.
@Dave Grindellnot with tv network deals. That would be breach of contract and not great for nascar.
I don’t mind that they didn’t restart the race. What I mind is 10 caution laps they ran waiting for rain to show up when they could have been green. .
What a crazy race! Sucked it couldn’t get completed, would of been wild, but still fun, was at the race, great experience, met the King Richard Petty at the track randomly!
Are you sure it was the real king? There’s an identical that attends races which I’ve met before at Richmond
@prophaulr nah it was real, he had security and hoped out of his golf cart to get into the elevators for the clubs, wearing his owner fit
Why people gotta hate?
Did yall want turn 1 daytona again?
Byron fought his way from a lap down, he won fair and square.
Exactly but people are just being mad for no reason
Yeah the storm was bad too, at the race, it was pouring, lightning everything, would of been hrs
Rain delays can get annoying. And there is people that wanted Brad Keselowski to win.
New NASCAR fan here after seeing the Chicago race
Same
How y’all like it?
@DrewHiRacingPOVs it’s awesome I’m still trying to learn the how they do the points
@DrewHiRacingPOVs Really good racing, I can see that the strategy is completely different racing on the oval, and it makes sense now why the race is split into different sections, as it seems to be all about timing when to make your move, as I’m guessing that with the drafting its not possible to be up front for too long.
The announcers are easy to listen to, so clear. Hope to hear them again. I think if they mentioned the top ten now and then real quick they still wouldn’t get behind on the front runners. I like these kind of races whereas if your driving well you can move up some and tighten the field. Hard to win races like this one . Thanks for showing this as I don’t have cable. I got money but I’m a cheap skate.
You can thank NBC for being a miles better broadcast than FOX. It’s honestly a pain to see the first 16 or so races these days just because of a broadcast who can’t take a sport seriously anymore
from last to first, william byron made an incredible finish
Luck –
BK would have won if not for the call off….
@Mike But he didn’t did he? He did nothing.
@Stephen Costner Won stage 2 came in P-6
That’s a good run- who you kidding…
@Mike I guess some people are satisfied with 6th
Yeah. Though would be nice to see Brad Keselowski win.
So glad I was there!! What a great race from the start, just wish it could have went the distance. Such a unique brand of pack racing where it’s pretty much every man for himself
The best part of this race was definitely Brad Keselowski versus team Penske. What an awesome race, just wish the race was way longer like it should’ve been…
Yeah this was a ford track we got robbed out of this one. Gonna celebrate dale when it starts and let the 24 win makes me sick
How does one identify what teams there are?
BK should have won- I hate the weather crap…
@Mitch b You can look up who owns a NASCAR Cup Series charter(s) to identify the teams.
@Mike totally agree, he deserved it. Me as a Chase Elliott fan, I am very disappointed in seeing an underdog driver could not win. Brad Keslowski had a great battle between team Penske, and he was leading for quite a bit of the race and had his teammate Chris Buescher up there as well. Brad Keselowski should’ve won easily
Wait, so, you’re saying this race is available at Walmart? Dangummit I need to get me there
Watching Larson is like watching a replay from a racing game
Thanks To Quaker State For Sponsoring This Race
Serves nascar right for putting the race on Sunday night, that it gets rained out
This is what was expected from Byron when he came out of Xfinity.
I know this wasn’t the ending we wanted. But the Racing was absolutely awesome and incredible. Everybody was a player in this race. The runs were awesome to see. What a great show. Can’t wait for next year!
The best race of this season.
Good job Byron after going a lap down early with a blown right rear… pulling it out.
This by far was an extremely exciting race and I know nascar had a tv start time but they knew bad weather was coming race should have time should have been moved up to 5:00.
Not just TV issues. Don’t forget the ticket holders. Moving the race up by two hours would force a lot of fans to miss out.
@crscott9908 I have been to nearly 30 nascar races and most race fans are already at the track 8 to 10 hours before the green flag drops and we too have seen weather related shorten races and like yesterday the fans miss out on 90 laps of action.
Congratulations To William Byron. At Least They Got The Race In.
Being there for my first time watching NASCAR in person was awesome
