How NASCAR Has Great MOMENTUM Right Now!

Visit the New Merch Store Here:

After an eventful few weeks of racing all over the map of the United States NASCAR has made the best of some not so great situations. The 3rd year of Nashville may be the best yet, Chicago offered record viewership, and Atlanta had one of the best superspeedway races in years. This is all on top of many changes the sport has made that have ended up working as well as an optimistic looking future that has not looked this good since the early 1990s. So today I want to look at this in both the short term and the long term and share a bit of that optimism with all of you today. This is how NASCAR has great momentum right now!

After the switch to NBC, there’s been an amazing run of racing. Nashville, Chicago and Atlanta has given them momentum heading into the TV negotiations.

I truly believe NASCAR is going in the right direction. There’s still a ton of work to do. Adding new races to the schedule every year, more marketability for all drivers and races, and lastly perhaps the hardest one improve the broadcast quality at FOX.

I’m optimistic about the near future of NASCAR

I really like the momentum. Nashville sold out again with a higher tv rating. Garage 56 put the sport on notice on a global stage to get a feel of how the world views them. Chicago thrives despite the odds and even one of my least favorite tracks now in ATL really provided 3 genuine lanes and handling mattered. There are a few things that nascar can do to sustain this, but if there’s one thing we can say, the leadership has actually drawn out a direction for the sport

I’ve been saying it since march. The tv ratings we’re going to go up once we got to nbc and away from fox. And it seems it’s proving my point.

What’s great is that they’re doing it in the opposite way as before when they left their roots to pander to everybody. Now they’re going back to their roots and people are coming to them.

good racing + packed grandstands are the only things I need in nascar. considering these are both happening right now, I absolutley think the sport is getting better.

Racing is on the rise again and for once Nascar is making smart moves! I was at Chicago and thr crowd was young and excited. Multiple groups I talked to said they can’t wait for next year!

As long as NASCAR continues to make improvements on how to be consistent with the calls on and off the track, we’ll be fine.

NBC does an awesome job with all it’s motorsports coverage. It’s Indycar and IMSA broadcast quality are awesome . I’m a big Indy fan but like NASCAR too. Indycar has long way to go but they’ve been climbing up in ratings last few years partially because NBC is doing a good job.

Heck I even like their Supercross coverage, and I don’t even like Supercross.

I wish NBC could get full season. They could really cross pollinate all their different motorsports platforms. I think it would help everyone. Rising tide lifts all boats.

NASCAR needs to keep the opening Prayer despite pressure from the bigger world. New fans will learn to love NASCAR for what it is as long as NASCAR stand’s proudly and doesn’t waver

Yes they do, cave in and they would lose me and a ton of fans.

NBC did do a promo for Liberty University during the Nashville race I might add.

I don’t really see the point of it but it’s always been there and I don’t see why NASCAR should change that.

I love the idea of expansion. I’m of the belief that Nascar but also Indycar, MotoAmerica, and IMSA should all have races throughout the Americas, in places like Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. For Nascar in particular, I love the idea of them also trying to host exhibition races in Europe or Asia. Bathurst, Autopolis, Sepang, Nurburgring, Silverstone, Zandvoort, Valencia, there’s so many options and each of them would be incredible for not just new markets but also showing off the skill drivers have.

The last couple weeks have produced some great racing. Nashville was great, The Chicago street course was a fun race, and NASCAR is coming off maybe the race of the year in my opinion in Atlanta. NASCAR definitely has something good going on right now.

As someone who’s from Europe, I like the recent changes NASCAR have made and has sparked an interest to NASCAR! Especially getting rid of stage breaks (atleast on road courses) and more track variety.

I’m not 100% sold tho, all the commericals, the long pre-race segment and… Playoffs/Chase…
