Steve Letarte explained it on the broadcast that as long as some of the left side tires are still on the inside painted line (which they were) then its not a penalty.

@wyattizer2526 when? You had some weird spelling at the end of your first comment but maybe you are referencing Daytona 2018? Couple things…that was 5 years ago. That was a different track. That was a different car. You do know that the rules change almost weekly, right? The rule last night was not the same rule as 5 years ago.
@Momentum Racingthe Haley call was a terrible one, same as the Brennan Poole call years ago. Nascar has gotten a lot more consistent and actually enforces the rule how it should be.
