What are you looking forward to most with the SRX?
Denny Hamlin
Marco Andretti win for SRX 2023 Champion
Are they going to have a local driver in each race again? I like seeing a ‘normal’ driver get a chance to run against the big boys.
Biffle!!!
One thing we definitely know is that Paul Tracy is still gonna be a pain in every drivers side. That’s a fact.
Tony loves PT. He is like the heel in a wrestling show ….
Honestly surprised he and Newman haven’t gone at each other more
@Mark LittleKenny conversation?
Funny thing is, PT had the reputation, but , last year at least, he was more often the victim then the guilty one. Oh, he had his moments, but no more than anyone else.
I’ll be attending the race at Motor Mile. Can’t wait to go.
I will be there too. Looking forward to it.
Same man. Saying I’m excited would be an understatement.
There were 4 paved and 2 dirt last year
So it’s not a first that paved has outnumbered dirt
Everything just looks set for the SRX to have their best season yet
Bummed as a vermont fan, been going to thunder road a long time and i got tickets for srx but i have a feeling theyre gonna have to cancel. Hopefully it gets replaced with something good
ron capps? i’m really curious to see how a drag racer does in a series like this
He has some dirt racing experience. I think he’ll do good.
Bernstein did IROC I believe.
I’m looking forward to ALL 6 races in the SRX series! I’m also in agreement with Tony Stewart about trying to get Dale Earnhardt & Jeff Gordon @ least for 1 offs in this series. Earnhardt already does some CARS tour events & 1 & this year 2 Xfinity races. For Earnhardt it should be like paying homage to hid dad in the old IROC series that he participated in for years & won in that series
I’ve been lucky enough to meet Schrader so it’s cool to see him full time!
Would love to see SRX return to Slinger
I’m so excited for them to come to thunder road, Vermont doesn’t get any big events like that.
Rooting for hearing the Speedworld theme again!
Me too but I don’t expect it
Im hoping to be able to go to their race at Lucas Oil Speedway this year, my hometown track
Personally I love the series, but I wish they would run at Slinger again, not only is it actually close to where I live, but it produced the best racing out of any of the 2021 tracks and it is the definition of a mini superspeedway
Yea it’s 15 minutes from me lol
If thunder road was a success id love to see them at bowman gray, and north Wilkesboro
I’d love to see them at North Wilkesboro and Slinger again
7:37 HECK YEAH!!! BOOGITY! BOOGITY! BOOGITY! It always feels right when Darrell Waltrip is announcing a race 🙂
I will agree with my all time favorite Nascar driver Tony Stewart trying to bring Dale Earnhardt jr and Jeff Gordon into the series. I also would mind seeing Kevin Harvick run a full season next year after he retires from.
Eldora has been circled on my calendar since tickets came on sale. I bought some I’ve been looking forward to this all year
If anyone is wondering, the footage during the Thunder Road segment is of the 1997 Vermont Milk Bowl, the track’s most historic event (the 61st edition is being held this year). That Milk Bowl was won by Phil Scott, who is now in his fourth term as the state’s Governor — and who still races almost every event on the schedule. Suffice to say the track looks a lot different now than it did back then, and you’ll get to see all the changes on July 20.
Also, as someone who’s from the area and has been keeping tabs on the flood clean-up efforts, I would be surprised if the Thunder Road SRX event doesn’t happen. From the latest accounts, things are progressing very well. Vermonters are a determined and resilient bunch.
