Praying for the return of the Brickyard 400.
Same!
As a hendrick fan I’m not that worried about chase that much but bowman I’m still skeptical
I dont know chase isnt running very well. Only way he gets in is a win and right now that doesnt look good.
@Colin DetrickYeah, but Alex Bowman has been nothing short of horrible this summer. I mean he’s been really bad, I don’t think he’s finished in the top 10 in the last five races
Chase just needs to put it together at the end. He’s running well, just needs to finish.
We need the Brickyard back. I think the new cars would make it an exciting race
Petition to bring brickyard back?
@NR89_PLYZ I sign it
I might be a little biased with Indy being the closest track to me, but with how well the 1.5 mile tracks have been this year I have a really really good feeling about the next gen cars on the oval.
The brickyard 400 should of never left. Road courses suck imo.. that race was suppose to mean something
@Craig SmithI don’t know why Nascar keeps doing it wrong when it comes to crown jewel events. Just like the fourth of July race at the real Daytona track!
alex bowman being the points leader earlier this year to 22nd in points now is just wild…
Been a rough stretch for sure.
I think if he wasn’t injured he would definitely be above the cutline or in the top 12 in points and might have a win
feels bad man
What hurts worse as a Bowman fan is that the injury made Bowman miss Dover and Kansas, 2 of his best tracks, and given the consistency he had early in the season he could probably have won either of them. Man, sure is painful being a Bowman fan this year…
@CXY888for sure, but I think what’s even more crazy how Byron had a 60 point loss early in the season and is now the points leader
The first race back on oval should have a large crowd I would think
If the Brickyard 400 returns next year, it will be the first time that someone not named Jeff Gordon wins a Brickyard with the year ending in “4”. Gordon won in ‘94, ‘04, and ‘14, on top of wins in ‘98 and ‘01.
Coincidently 2024 would match jeff gordon #24 for the brickyard
If Bryron wins, though…
The only YouTube channel i impatiently wait on videos to come out.
SRX was great last night, I’d love to see Alan Bestwick calling cup again, he’s still got it.
NASCAR dirt to Daytona on PS2, never forget
Please bring back the Brickyard 400! Way too classic of a track to neglect.
Especially if we are going to Montreal next year, this replacing basically Fontana would keep the oval to road course count the same
I wouldn’t mind Joey going to the booth when he retires, I enjoy him being up there.
He’s cringe though. What a goofy person.
Eric I think you’re forgetting that Elliott was second to Bell at New Hampshire last year so while his stats ( Elliott’s ) aren’t as good as Watkins glen or some of the other tracks before the playoffs he could surprise you and win this race
Elliott has a good chance to win pretty much every race up to the cut line. Runs well at New Hampshire and Michigan generally, Great on road courses, has technically won at Pocono, anyone can win Daytona, has a few top 5s at Richmond (and don’t forget the 9 car get second in the spring)
If Bowman and Elliott miss the playoffs, they would still almost certainly be in the owners playoffs. That pushes two other cars into the drivers only playoffs.
I have faith in Elliott. He could honestly win any of these next few weeks. He’ll almost certainly be fine.
Bowman, on the contrary, has had terrible luck recently. He is not consistent at all. He can run well, he just can’t finish there. Until that changes, he’s probably not going to make it, unless he gets lucky.
You really need to listen to Hamlin’s podcast where he discussed Chase’s situation. With 7 races left, there are 21 checkered flags left when you count the stages. He will be okay.
Fair play to Goodyear for acknowledging 2008. Glad they learned.
My predictions from like 3 months ago are playing out just like I figured. Elliot and Bowman NEED to win
I would love to see the brickyard come back I was there in 94 that was a long time ago I’m 43 now and still watching NASCAR even play Nascar 21 ignition
