I think you forget that he got 6 top 10’s at the start of the year and that most wrecks at all were not his fault like Martinsville

Riley Herbst being in while Brandon Jones is behind the likes of Moffit is really a testament to how awful Jones is.
Even if Jeb Burton didn’t win Dega, he’d still be ahead of Jones in points
Jones is mediocre at best and trash at his worst
That being said, however, this season has been horrible for that #9. Nothing has happened in their favour this year
Since COTA Riley Herbst has:
-5 DNFs
-1 Top 5
-A worst finish of 38th at Darlington
-Lost around 40 points to the cutline
-Gone to 12th above the cutline currently +16 over Kligerman
But but but he’s “iMpRoViNg!” according to the Herbstsexuals. Year 5, 0 wins, potentially could miss the PLAYOFFS to either Big Machine or AM Racing.
