Technically no, not yet. But if they don’t make up a ton of points over the next 2 or 3 races, then yes

They are not definitely in a must-win situation but most likely yes. Bowman hasn’t had a top 10 since Richmond. It’s Watkins Glen or bust for Chase Elliott.
It’s a must win for anyone 30 points out. Do the math.

Even if they statistically don’t have to win, they need to race like they need to win. The weeks are ticking by and they need to take advantage of every race. These races with 0 stage points and 15th place finishes aren’t going to cut it.
Bowman and Elliot got hurt doing dumb activities.Hope they don’t make it.Hope Blake Harris doesn’t get the boot.
I wouldn’t call driving a dirt car and snowboarding dumb activities, bowman raced dirt cars all the time and no one had a problem with it and Elliot snowboard very often, it was just unlucky that they got hurt, they are living there lives, and not everything they do is nascar, it sucks it happened but you know, it just happens

@Mary Northcutt no it wasn’t, they all still do that stuff, look at Kyle Larson, he races almost every week in dirt cars and last week he was in a scary accident but came out ok, it was just wrong place at the wrong time, all nascar drivers do things out of the car that could injure them, it’s just weather it’ll happen or not
Chase, Bowman, Bubba and myself are all tied for wins this year…..also, I’ve never drove a race car in my life!
Chase had a few good finishes from track position and strategy. Otherwise hes had no speed all year long.
