This is gonna be a wild weekend at Indy
Cannot wait to see how SVG does at Indy after his historic Chicago win! Also, I think this is the first time I’ve been the first to comment on a new Eric Estepp video
Here’s to hoping he goes 2-0 this season! Rooting for SVG!
I hear ya
Imagine the scenes! 2-0 is too much to hope for .. or is it?
Apologies for the distorted audio in some spots. I’ve packed up a lot of my equipment so I’m using a microphone I don’t typically use for this show. Accidentally clicked over to the wrong setting. I’ll get it fixed before the next show. Thanks for watching!
I was wearing the same shirt as you when I was watching this lol
@MKE Plane Spotting Where can I find that shirt?
@Big Hand I got it from Target
I thought it was a quality video.
How dare you Eric. I am deeply disappointed in you.
Glad to see him back for another race! The more preparation he has, the more successful he’ll be in his transition to nascar from rally car style racing.
I wonder how he’ll feel about the Indy road course. Will he say that he’d like to race on the oval? Or will he prefer the road course? I hope he’ll recognize the historical significance of the Indy oval, and support it’s return.
The road course ringer era is not fully back, but it’s on the rise again. I think it’s safe to say that Raikkonen, SVG, Burton, and Taylor have started a spark that will trigger a new era where American oval ringers race together with international road racers in harmony. This is an example of American unity, nay even international unity, at its finest. Something to be proud of.
if you told me a year ago that SVG, Kobayashi, Kostecki, and Jenson Button were all in a cup race together, i’d be questioning your sanity
I could agree with that
_wait?_
_JENSON BUTTON?_
@bohba13 Yes
Ikr?
Facts. Just image in Jordan Taylor, Jimmie Johnson, Conor Daily, and Kimi Raikkonen all were in the race as well.
I think SVG will move people and be aggressive
Eric, I’ve been watching since the mid 90’s and I grew up near Bristol. I remember those tickets having a two year waiting list. And Ive witnessed the downfall. I think it needs both. We need Bristol and North Wilksboro but we also need Europe and Mexico. What we need, is NASCAR being proud of its roots and being unapologetically American wherever it goes. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.

We got a taste of this with the Garage 56 car at LeMans. We need more of that.
You know what I think would be funny? 2 Rockingham dates
One for The Rock, the other for Northamptonshire’s Circuit
Amazing lineup for Indy.
As a fan, I love seeing Nascar expand international. I want to see new fans across the Americas and maybe beyond it, because seeing fans from so many different backgrounds enjoy our sport is a very special feeling. I like the idea of all Cup races being confined to North and South America but having the Clash be put at a race like Kyalami, Bathurst, Autopolis, or Sepang. If that can create millions of new fans than it will be fully justified, and Nascar can still maintain their integrity with great racing
I anticipate and hope that like the Chicago street race, Nascar will move the restart zone further back. That’s something else that had a positive effect.
100%
For the first time ever, I’m looking forward to the Indy Road Course
I’m more interested in NASCAR now than I’ve ever been. These are exciting times. This is healthy for NASCAR. I’m excited to see what’s next.
Great breakdown. SVG is going to be able and give teams a good idea of his track potential instead of just knowing how good he was on a street course.
Glad to see him back and hope he runs well. Also side note shortly after watching the video I saw the news that Justin Haley is going to RWR. Talk about an unexpected announcement.
