In what universe are Kenny Wallace and Hailee Deegan “Superstars” LMAO.
Hailie absolutely is but Kenny on the other hand is absolutely not one, there’s an absolute distinction between a star like her and an old man who was a C- minus player back in the day and is an F-minus player today because he was never a star in the first place let alone a megastar like Deegan.
@Samuel Duplessishow is Hailie a superstar when she hasn’t won a truck series race yet.
@Justin GHow is anybody a star in a slot car division. Also, Kenny ran very well in Xfinity. Sure he wasn’t great in Cup but there’s a good list of heavy hitters in other series who sucked in Cup.
@Justin G just because she hasn’t won yet doesn’t mean she’s not more famous than Kenny.
Kenny’s engagement on socials is a very low number compared to hers.
She’s a megastar, man.
The age of being in good equipment and wins making you famous is long gone. now you can make the hall just on stardom within the fandom alone let alone points race wins or championships.
Her stardom alone is gonna get her in the hall one day.
Now in 2023, social media is integrated and important to sports and entertainment. Fan interaction and instant gratification is so important and using social media the way she does and especially her YouTube channel will get her to the cup level at a faster rate than any of the nepo boys who are her peers.
She’s not “following in her dad’s footsteps” like 90% of the rest of the field.
She’s blazing her own path and doing a discipline that is completely different from what her dad was known for.
And along the way, she’s bringing new eyes to the sport whether you like it or not and bringing new eyes to the sport is very important for the future of sport moving forward.
Also, she’s not the only one struggling with these trucks. The current iteration of the gen 4 truck is absolute garbage.
I’d like to point out that like, not everyone is a Chase Elliott or a Kyle Larson or Busch who can race pretty much anything they get their hands on and win.
Superstar just means your famous, doesn’t have anything to do with how good you are
