You know, it’s an odd decision that no one saw coming, but I have no complaints about the entire Xfinity series being easily available to EVERYONE! That’s cool. Now, we just have to hope that the broadcast is good and hopefully they get good people in the booth.
The NASCAR Productions is similar to what Supercars do over here with Supercars Media. It’s a great deal for broadcasters as Supercars (or in this case, NASCAR) provide all the expensive broadcast package, such as graphics, infrastructure and editing teams, all the broadcaster has to provide is people to feature on the telecast, and their own logos in certain places.
I doubt he will he’s seemed to focus a lot of his time and energy closer to his home in New England he does UConn Women’s basketball for CBS Sports, he does SRX which is just a few weeks in his slow season so I don’t think he’d go back down to North Carolina .. but if UConn lands in the Big12 they may leave CBS Sports and if he doesn’t have the UConn basketball to cover it’s possible, doubtful but not 100% out of the question. I’d love to see it
This was shocking. I did not expect the CW out of all channels to get NASCAR. Should bring good exposure to Xfinity with all 33 races on OTA TV. After this deal, there’s no excuse for cup races on cable. FOX/NBC better have most if not all of their cup races on the big networks.
NBC is trying their hardest right now, they know Dale Jr brings in the big bucks and need to keep him satisfied as long as it takes. Fox at this point deserves to get screwed because they never stooped so low to deliver such an INSULTING broadcast as they did starting with 2022. They were that unbearable
To put it into perspective going to the CW is like if the Cup series had every single race on main Fox and main NBC, where you can watch freely over the air as long as you have a tv and an antenna, genuinely don’t know why people are upset over this this is a massive win and hopefully the cup series gets a similar deal with every single race being on the main channels and not needing to have cable
The CW is not available on all markets, apparently. The Northeast doesn’t have it, neither does Delaware, nor Miami for some reason. Reno and parts of the Midwest apparently are stuck in analog, San Diego only has their subchannels. Great move, indeed
Hopefully NASCAR having the responsibility to provide the production on streams means we will see “Crank it UP” moments come back and possibly some new camera angles like roof cams come back
Cw confuses me. They cut the super hero shows that have proven to draw biggest ratings to the channel in years so they can have there teeny shows. But then they make a move like this which is like what? Great win for both sides.
In my opinion, that’s a great move CW getting the Xfinity Series and I think that would eliminate FS1, FOX, USA, & NBC for Xfinity Series and it could eliminate FS1 and USA Network for Cup Series and it could be main FOX network & NBC network for Cup Series and maybe rain date schedule probably have to be on FS1, FS2, USA, CNBC or MSNBC as a back up schedule for 2025 and the other option to look at is will Cup & Xfinity Series goes to separate tracks in 2025?
Maybe they’ll bring a few from FOX and a few from NBC, my gut tells me it will be for CW is; Commentator Rick Allen, Analyst Reagan Smith & Michael Annett, pre-race reporter; Matt Yocum, Brad Dougherty & Jeff Hammond, pit reporter Matt Yocum, Vince Welch, & Jamie Howe.
And in 2025, Nascar on NBC will get Adam Alexander.
The CW is an excellent plan. Many fans don’t want to pay for a TV subscription which requires paying for a bunch of other garbage channels in order to watch NASCAR. Hopefully the Cup Series will chart a similar course.
I’ happy to hear CW will be broadcasting over the air all of the Xfinity races. Several of my friends have been very vocal about not being able to watch races because they were cable cutters. It will be interesting to see who they pick up for the on air broadcasting team.
I think this is great news for nascar and fans alike for everything that you mentioned in the video.
My only concern is the upcoming ATSC 3.0, over the air broadcasts may not be free for much longer.

Yeah
At least it’s not on streaming like it was rumored.
More eyes on the product means more potential new fans to the sport. This is great news. Nascar on the Arrow verse!
More into NASCAR than the DC shows on CW
Ironic, cause the Batman was a race on the NASCAR schedule in 2005 and one of the drivers drove a Batman-inspired paint scheme that same race

Alan Bestwick needs to be in the booth for the Xfinity series

He is also the voice of the Indianapolis Motor speedway
Cup
@Crazy But not possible.
Xfinity Series moving to The CW is INSANE!
I’ll say
I’m really excited about this, I already have the CW app because I wanted to watch 100 Days to Indy, so I am thrilled about this.

@S.KullRandom The Toyota hyping got old a while ago.
All I have for TV service is an antenna. This is fantastic news!! The Xfinity series is now more accessible than Cup. Crazy.

@S.KullRandomCW Philly is in the northeast!

Crank it up, unfortunately, remains Fox exclusive. So when Fox goes, so is that, which is a shame, cause it’s the best oart of the race
Wonder if a similar curveball will be thrown for NASCAR Cup Series Coverage. This is a big W imo!
The cable channels have been annoying since cutting the cord has been a thing. I’m excited for this change and I hope the cup series follows suite.
