In a move that probably shocked all NASCAR fans the 2nd tire series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series was announced to be going to the CW Network from 2025 to 2031. There will be plenty that can be seen as good and/or bad in this I think it should deserve a closer look and see what may be under the surface that NASCAR fans may not be aware of. So today let's look at it, let's see about NASCAR on the CW?! What can we expect?

What do you think about NASCAR going to The CW Network?
If LIV Golf can make a living off the CW, then so can NASCAR.
I can see new viewers to the product.
We don’t get CW in Canada so this is bad.
With LIV Golf on The CW, this is a good move! Plus I think the younger generation watches The CW which is a huge bonus. And I see viewership being flat in 2025 with fans slowly realizing they have all the Xfinity races, but long term it’s gonna jump big time.
As a Canadian, all the races are usually on one of the TSN channels, so I dont know how to feel about this aside from the commercial aspect and hope there is a lot less.
As long as we can get Allen Bestwick in the booth I’m happy
The CW is gonna have to steal him from ESPN somehow.
Nah, put Rick Allen in the Xfinity booth. Allen Bestwick should be in the NBC booth
@S.KullRandom you got a point. But tbf I just wanna see him back in a nascar space in general. Regardless of the network
I hope that this can improve NASCAR’s business model
They better have Maury, Springer or Wilkos playing before the races!
Or who’s line is it anyway
@Necro-Mentorbe prepared for the You Are The Father 300
GET OFF MY STAGE!!!
Or during the rain delays
This is one of the wisest moves by NASCAR in years, and probably the best thing to ever happen to the Xfinity Series.
Not really. The CW isn’t available in all markets and viewership will probably be lower.
@Run Rafa Run #THEBESTINTHEWORLDit can literally be picked up with a TV antenna. Also don’t like your own comment.
@Run Rafa Run #THEBESTINTHEWORLDyou literally couldn’t be any more wrong. CW is legitimately available to absolutely every tv out there and is even picked up on antenna.
@mterwill9I think he’s referring to all countries outside of the US.
This could be a very good deal. All 33 races on OTA TV could bring Xfinity a ton of exposure. No more excuses with FOX & NBC for cup races. All of their races should be on network TV, very few cable races at best.
That means less money for NASCAR. Doubt that’ll happen
There’s no way for that to happen as they have other commitments with other sports on their networks.
Talk about one of the most outlandish networks to have NASCAR on. This would’ve been the last thing I expected NASCAR to announce. This’ll be a great thing for the XFINITY series. A strange but interesting move. Let’s see if it works out.
Not as bad as Fox putting trucks on Fox Business a few years ago
When was the last time, Nascar kept a secret, not letting it get leaked out, and drop this absolute nuke of a secret on the fanbase?
It was reported by Adam Stern this morning before NASCAR even said anything
@John HaasBy, like, an hour
I hope this deal works as well as Cedar Fair buying out the Paramount Parks (Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, Canada’s Wonderland & California’s Great America)
First off, goddamn I don’t think anyone saw this coming. But regardless of my shock, this is an excellent deal for the Xfinity Series. Not only do you move off of cable to free TV, but from all accounts, you got a big pay boost, too.
This bodes very well for the Cup Series and their negotiations.
I like the move. It’s good to get ahead of the Pac-12 here. Offers tremendous upside at a great price point
I see NASCAR Marketing the CW on NBC, Fox, USA and FS1 during the races so more people could see it
I’ll word this carefully, I was not expecting this, but I am not really surprised. The CW has been very clear they are interested in expanding sports, and have, and that includes motorsports. Yeah, there are going to have some more pm races with LIV and ACC sharing it, too.
Love this news. I’m a cable cutter and haven’t watched xfinity in years, but if Cup’s broadcast schedule remains similar to what they have now, I’m sure I’d end up seeing more xfinity races than cup. I think the number of views to be gained just by being over the air will negate any views lost by moving networks. I don’t imagine this will hurt ratings at all.
I’d imagine 2025 would be down at first, but once people adjust to the change, it should go up in 2026 and beyond
I got the CW app because I wanted to watch _100 Days to Indy_ and now I hear they’re getting the Xfinity Series and it will be completely free! I can’t wait for 2025, I couldn’t be happier about this.
This is definitely going to be a game changer for NASCAR. Whether it’s for better or worse will be seen when we get to the 2025 Nascar Xfinity season and beyond.
With this new deal, I’m hoping the Xfinity Series can go to some different tracks and be more (slightly) independent of the Cup Series .
The majority of the Xfinity races will understandingly be companion races. But the series has 2 races independent of the Cup series right now. Both are on road course where they don’t even do competitive pit stops.
Give the teams a bigger purse so they can have their own pit crews instead of relying on Cup teams and then go to some other tracks.
I say go to Iowa Speedway. Go to Milwaukee. Maybe Chicagoland or Kentucky can come back. Maybe rotate in different short tracks each year. Race at Rockingham if it doesn’t get a Cup All Star race per the rumors.
I’m hoping something happens for arrca… I would love to see all those short tracks on TV again.
Races will also air live on the CW app for free, so overall this sounds like an excellent move for everyone.
