Am I the only one that sees a re skinned DTM Chassis. With an American V8.

Yes you are. Just look at all the differences around the wheel arches. There is basically nothing in common with (old) DTM, starting with the base: cfrp monocoque vs steel tubs. And the new DTM is GT3 and they dont have anything in common with silhouette series like NASCAR is.
