NOTE: Martin Truex Jr. just announced that he WILL RETURN in 2024
As a long time MTJ fan I’m glad I get to see one more season of him doing what he does best
Welp gragson is for sure done then. With this and Nemechek coming up
He would be happier if he didn’t
Always liked MT Jr glad he ain’t done yet!
I think if he wins the championship this year he should retire.
Legacy is just wanting put john hunter into the 42 next year so heres there excuse to do it
Your right
Agreed to make things worse, his replacement just won the Xfinity race.
@Fowler Motorsports yeah they said something last week and were probably just waiting on Martins to sign back and yeah so they just tried finding anyway to screw him out of it
@Timothy Brown Yeah its sad but damn just like wow
Interesting timing on Noah’s suspension. They find a meme from months ago….after it’s leaked that Legacy was trying to dump him for John Hunter. Guessing next step will be to use this to void Noah’s contract
WIth Truex announcing that he’d be back next year all of this lines up a little too perfectly.
Maybe
Or maybe just call out Noah for being racist? No? Guess not huh. Blame the world
@flacko let’s be honest here, everyone has laughed at those types of memes before. I’m not a racist person, don’t get me wrong here, but sometimes some dark humor is funny, even though it is dark. That said he is a public figure so I understand the suspension but I think it’s going a bit far to call Noah a racist. I highly doubt he is anyone like that.
I’m curious to see if Berry fills in beyond Michigan. Or if a Toyota driver drives for legacy after this weekend. I would say it’s gonna be Berry for the rest of season
It is still a Chevrolet for the rest of 23 and Chevrolet has a say in who drives the car.
A Toyota driver has a Toyota contract they can’t jump in a Chevy
Yea #Chevrolet probably won’t want a #Toyota driver in there
@RynosRaceroom66well technically Chevy doesn’t have a say. They already cut ties and pulled backing for LMC hell they been using JGR pit crew members for a while now this year. They are nothing but a logo on the car at this point.
@WolfPack StudiosThe Chevrolet contract is in place until the end of 2023. So Chevrolet is definitely making the calls.
i think this seals gragsons fate, hes either going back to xfinity or going to the couch. there isnt a single cup seat i could see him going to, his best bet is either back to jrm, or taking chandler smiths place at kaulig
At most the 77
Maybe Kaulig? He raced for them some last yeae
People need to abandon social media all together. Life has not improved with the addition of social media platforms. How many more people have to get cancelled before everyone wakes up? Noah made a bad decision. There are ramifications for your actions. Always has been and always will be.
He literally just liked a post it’s not that deep let him do what he wants
He didn’t make a bad decision people got offended because over something stupid
@NASCAR Memer Owenlol you beat me to it
Everyone knows there are consequences for your actions in our word. We learn that around the age of 2. There is no such thing as “cancelation.” It’s a mad up term for people who feel like there should not be consequences for wrongdoing. Think about the people who use the term and why they use it.
I feel like a suspension was a bit much but Lmc was trying to get JHN so I’m not surprised
Exactly. Legacy tool advantage of a disgusting cancel culture society and got Noah out of the car.
I hope JHN doesn’t go for a second mediocre cup ride and holds out for a better situation Legacy is a mid pack company if that and i think he has earned better.
@Steve Eazy If I were JHN I would stay at Xfinity for a while longer until a seat on some major team is available. LMC this year has been terrible and I think it would be another setback for his career.
Toyota got their wish. This was nothing more than a surgical takedown.
Just makes me not like JJ and Toyota even more.
Noah went WOKE. He apologized for liking the Floyd picture. Go woke, go broke.
@Megatron2013 So you approve of people being murdered ?
@Craig Grant Floyd wasn’t murdered, he died of an overdose, his breathing was labored even before being placed on the ground. The Hennepin County’s autopsy even said so.
@Megatron2013cute chant kiddo, but that ain’t what woke means
JGR may very well had a hand in this suspension. Legacy was looking for a reason as they will be an extension of JGR and Noah is not welcome in the Toyota family because of spoiled brat Ty Gibbs. Just this week it was reported Legacy was considering replacing Noah. His contract was signed prior to the conception of Legacy Jimmie Johnson or the new Toyota affiliation. Witch hunt in his social media gave them something to grasp onto. Simply dirty pool. The announcement of Martin coming back today only supports this Theory. They needed a seat for John Hunter Nemechek
they wont be an extension of JGR they will have a direct relationship with toyota
@Jordan Skelton you haven’t been paying attention. They will be technical partners directly with jgr much like furniture row was prior to jgr absorbing that team. John Hunter going to Legacy which is most likely whats happening is because of this relationship
They probably just looking for an excuse to give Noah the boot. TRD doesn’t really want him, it seems. With Truex coming back in ‘24 I’m sure they want JHN in the car.
I think Gragson is a sacrificial lamb with Legacy moving to Toyota next year. Now that Truex is returning next year, I feel Toyota was going to replace Gragson with JHN. I think Gragson is tied to Chevy.
When I first heard this… It’s just LMC looking for their reason for letting him go for JHN next year! Who knows JHN might get to fill in for a few races this season.
@michael Pluska I think Legacy wasn’t going to retain Grayson because of the switch to Toyota. I don’t think Nemechek can drive for Legacy because they’re a Chevy team and JHN is a Toyota driver. Also I think Grayson is tied to Chevy. Maybe he’s going to Kaulig to drive the #31 Chevy. I don’t think he wants to go back to XFINITY. I think JHN was in line to replace Truex but now that he’s returning, Toyota had no choice but to put Nemechek at Legacy in the #42.
@FPSB I think this is more due to LMC becoming a Toyota team next year and I think Grayson is part of the Chevy development program.
@FPSBI don’t think Jimmie is really that good of a businessman like Jeff is either though. You see how much better they ran once Jeff got into those cars in 2016 vs when he was just managing the team, the performance seemed to pick up around Indy when he started driving again, l thought. Jimmie is good, but Jeff helped really build HMS into the powerhouse they are today, along with Chad and Ray.
How crazy if Berry could get the team its first top 10 of the year, especially if he’s still with them come Martinsville.
Eric, I appreciate your spin on this issue. Noah is a good guy who made a silly mistake.
Eric Soystep needs to stay in BFM’s good graces or he won’t be doing the podcast anymore.
Did he really make a mistake
Mistake or not doesn’t matter. NASCAR is not going to let anyone have independent thought unless it matches what they want it to be.
The problem is, when it comes to Noah Gragson and what he supposedly did on social media, NASCAR and Legacy Motor Club are in a no win situation. If they don’t do anything then sponsors and certain individuals will complain, but if they do what they have done with Noah Gragson, then you will upset many other people for reasons I will not go into here. I don’t want to be NASCAR or Legacy Motor Club right now because it’s a no win situation.
Honestly the only way for this crap to stop is to not apologize and for them to not worry about certain sponsors. They are the ones keeping this crap going. It has to stop, somebody needs to make a stand but they’re too gutless to.
If there is a sponsor that caters to this woke crap they DO NOT BELONG IN NASCAR.
Black Rifle probably was concerned. They are a veteran owned company and probably respect activism without liking Floyd.
@WildTurkey_24No, the stand is not normalizing that kind of behavior, meaning racism and police brutality. I would think anyone supporting Trump or the GOP would be against police brutality and authority over reach. Not accusing you of being pro-Trump or anything, but I know that crowd exists in NASCAR and yet does not realize the irony of being against the idea of government overreach while realizing Chauvin killing Floyd was criminal still.
I hate being in my mid-forty’s, but damn I’m glad I grew up without social media and cell phones. All of this nonsense is so insane, gets weirder by the week.
