The timing of this announcement couldn’t be any worse
To quote RCR. I was really rooting for Austin Hill to get a full time cup ride with Kaulig.
LOL
Now with the austin hill news, I can predict with confidence that Zane Smith getting the 10 with Almirola retiring, and then possibly i could Chandler Smith in the 31. Its the best situation that could happen imo
I think they’d want to keep chandler smith in xfinity for another year or two. I think maybe they promote Daniel hemric back up to the cup series.
Chandler smith to the #16 AJ is going back to Xfinity as it’s been report he’s requested to go back to Xfinity
@Noah Mielke hemric hasn’t done anything imo that deserves a cup ride again
Chandler smith ain’t ready for cup, I think Zane smith should have a full xfinity season before cup!
I think the move hill did staying in the xfinty series is good because one or two more years I think he will be ready for cup
NOTE: As mentioned by several viewers, Daniel Hemric could also be a Cup Series candidate for Kaulig. He’s in Kaulig’s Xfinity car, has a year of Cup experience, and has relationships with Cirkul and (I think) Poppy Bank.
What happened to poppy bank, they sponsored him for every race and they just left after he won the championship
@Aidan Smid Good question. I think they sponsored 1 or 2 races this year, but far less than previous seasons.
Calling Johnathan Davenport a “ringer” is an insult he’s the best late model driver in the country
@Eric Estepp there was a sponsorship conflict with Poppy Bank and (I think) Bank of America, or some other bank. But for some reason they can still sponsor select races. Beats me…
@Charles I didn’t mean that as an insult, I consider it a compliment. He’s known for being a great dirt racer, so was brought in to race dirt in a new vehicle he hadn’t experienced before.
Honestly, if I was Kaulig I would lend that charter to Trackhouse for one year and invest that money into making their 16 car faster. Because they’re struggling right now and teams like JTG for example, prooved this year that a wise investment can make a program a lot more. competetive and Matt Kaulig is all about “Collecting Trophies”
I couldn’t agree more
From what has been written and spoken about SVG and Project 91 at Trackhouse, I don’t think Justin Marks has enough Cup-level sponsorship available right now to buy, or lease a charter and still have enough funding to be competitive.
I like this idea; Kaulig is running out of options so Marks could probably get a better deal on a lease. Could also be a way to attract more sponsorship for Gizzy.
Agree with you on the SRX series. I think it’s the best thing to happen in the racing world in a long time.
I’m going to echo a statement I had in a previous video regarding Kaulig: They’ve struggled with two full time cars, so maybe going back to just one full time and one part time, or even selling off that second charter to help fund that one full time ride might be an option to consider. I know charters are golden right now, and it’s a touchy situation if they’re going to stay or go, so it may be a good idea is to sell while the value is really high and use that to give A. J. (or whoever is in that 16 next year), a better chance since it’s clear that team is struggling.
They aren’t going to go back to one car
Or merge with Jr.
Gonna miss Thursday Night Thunder and the SRX. That was just plain fun
As a Gragson fan, Kaulig would be the perfect fit for Noah.
Yeahhhh buddy #NG31
Lmao no
@NASCAR Memer Owen cry
@Naz Idoura im good, my driver actually has a ride at least
I went to high school with Austin it’s pretty awesome to see him doing so well and getting good opportunities
NASCAR needs more blue collar grinders like him. It’s a shame that the sport has strayed away from that, but he will be a fan favorite in the cup series when he gets there.
Congrats to Austin. Guy is super talented and underrated. He should be in Cup but I understand his decision.
I could see Daniel hemric going back to cup I think it would be great
I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned Parker Kligerman. I think he’s most definitely out performed his equipment this year. Came very close at Road America, and I think he’s a very poplar personality in NASCAR. But as much as I want to see him in cup, I’d rather it be a competitive opportunity. But he doesn’t seem to have funding aside from Big Machine which is unfortunately how it goes.
I can agree with that
Once Tracy was gone, I think SRX was some of the best racing I have seen this year.
Now they just need more races! I’d like to see maybe 12 races per season.
So agree!!
I love the SRX series. Great to see the different racers from different disciplines race. It’s refreshing to get away from some of the NASCAR silliness and see good hardcore racing to me it’s a hit
Love the new “out of the crowd” segment, great way to add alittle more time, keep at it! I don’t think many mind the longer videos!
Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin are the only drivers to make the Playoffs (since the 2014 format) every year (9 appearances). If Harvick somehow misses the playoffs because of two upset winners the next two races that would be huge!
Was great meeting you at Berlin! You lived up to the type of person that you show on here. Keep doing what your doing brotha!
