Which Playoff bubble driver has the best chance of winning at Daytona?

I think Austin Dillon is a very underrated pick.

Dude’s fast at Daytona.

I’m going with Haley

Even know he’s already in the playoffs, I have Brad Keslowski on my mind, I have Riley Herbst on my mind too

Ty Dillom

Austin Cindric. Nobody is talking about him. He won the Daytona 500 last year.

AJ with a ‘Haley Mary’ move on the last lap launches Kaulig into the Playoffs, calling it.

Would Haley spin out aj for the win

Reply
Jared Champagne August 24, 2023 at 10:39 pm

AJ wont even be in the top 30. He’s a garbage SS racer

Dylan Bollinger August 24, 2023 at 11:55 pm

I predict he will be wrecked out

One thing you forgot to mention about Bubba Wallace and Ty Gibbs: Denny said on Actions Detrimental that when it came down to it, he would push Bubba before he’d push Ty.

Yeah haha that’s what I meant by Hamlin’s potential conflict of interest

Reply
SmileyGladhands August 24, 2023 at 9:12 pm

When will Denny just do a Tony Stewart and drive for his team?

Reply
Brinley Nicholson August 24, 2023 at 9:26 pm

@SmileyGladhands Looks like next year

Wreck Ty push next year’s teammate Bubba, fixed it for ya Denny

Anybody can win at Daytona nowadays. So, it’s impossible to know for sure who will win into the playoffs… but… I’ll be keeping my eyes on:
1.) Suarez
2.) Bowman
3.) Burton (because I like WBR)
4.) Cindric
5.) Ty Dillon (extreme long shot pick)

For just who could win the race itself, not necessarily for playoff points, I’d like to see someone like Busch, Harvick, Logano, Chastain, or Blaney win.

What about Kenny Wallace? Trevor Lawrence? 67 Stingray?

Reply
Kyle Butler August 24, 2023 at 10:38 pm

Imagine Burton winning, getting the 100th win for WBR, at Daytona no less and clinching the last playoff position!

cadillacjohn1994 August 24, 2023 at 11:47 pm

@Crush1084 like I said… extreme long shot pick.

Noah Gragsons gonna qualify in with a self owned car, win, and then create the next Petty Family legacy. 12 generations of Gragson will dominate the field

I’m disappointed that Bowman and Elliott are in this position. It’s mostly due to injuries and a suspension this year. Winning at Daytona is possible for them but extremely unlikely.

I predict Eric Jones will make the playoffs because I think he will win Daytona. He is a great superspeedway racer. He has also helped Elliott win his last two super speedway races, Atlanta, and Talladega. And he almost won Talladega in the spring last year.

Austin Cindric will win his way into the playoffs with help from his Penske teammates

I wanted to point out about the driver standings going in Daytona five drivers are separated by four points. 6th through 10th are close on points, and the top 10 get bonus points after the regular season.

RAGING RAC3RYT August 24, 2023 at 9:00 pm

Brad’s winning odds, despite him being locked in already, are 15-1, he’s also a good superspeedway racer, so he’s my pick this weekend

Wire Runner August 24, 2023 at 9:03 pm

I don’t see the other divers at JGR helping Ty get a win without being told to. Maybe Bell will but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hamlin or Truex just drive by him.

I want Bad Brad to pick up a win. And RFK get their first daytona win

Reply
Skyvernius August 24, 2023 at 9:41 pm

Bowman I think will be fast at Daytona as he usually is. Bowman’s issue will be trying to stay running at the end and not end up wrecked like he normally does (usually by someone elses doing). That will be Bowman’s main thing to do is stay running at the end.

Casey August 24, 2023 at 10:18 pm

My pick to win those Brad Keselowski. The comedic timing of that line was perfection.

Jared Brinkley August 24, 2023 at 10:27 pm

I wouldn’t say you need to be lucky to win at Daytona, more lucky not to lose. For example, Joey doesn’t need to luck into a win, he needs to avoid bad luck. Someone like Justin Haley would need to luck into a win

Rus August 24, 2023 at 11:17 pm

I think it’s more likely that there will be a new winner this weekend than repeat winner, there’s a lot of good pack racers below the cutline

Reply
connor bingel August 24, 2023 at 11:35 pm

Keselowski is long overdue for a superspeedway win. He has lead like every plate race since joining RFK

The crazy thing about this playoff system is that Bubba could point his way in, & go on to win the drivers championship. And the 23 car could still be 17th in the owners’ points.

Man this is a tough one with my favorites being Chase and Bubba. I think through this year, Bubba deserves the spot more. Hopefully he or an existing winner wins and locks him in!
