Look at how the window net and roof hatch detached from the frame of the car. Such a scary accident I hope Preece is okay after that because I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that since the early 2000s barrel rolls.
I’ve been watching nascar religiously now for about 15 years and have never seen a flip get to the double digit numbers… he flipped ELEVEN freaking times… hoping for good news to come out soon
Crash didnt even last 10 seconds. And the impact from falling that high was enough to send him on a stretcher. Its a crash thats generally safer, but this was way more extreme which made it actually dangerous.

God was watching over him through this crash. I hope he doesn’t have any serious injuries.
We’ve never seen anything like this in decades, prayers
Cap
He’s aight
Last time I saw something like that was with Ricky Rudd
Haven’t seen one like that since the early 90s. Rusty Wallace in 93 at Daytona and Dega maybe. Damn….
I’d equate Preece’s flip to Davey Allison’s flip at Pocono in 1992 imo
Elliot Sadler 2003 Talladega?
As a nascar fan I never been so scared in my life
That was some of the most violent tumbling and highest air I’ve ever seen in a Nascar flip! Hope he’ll be okay.
You can see him being thrown around in the car where the roof hatch was. This crash gave me a headache. Glad he’s okay.
man and we thought blaine perkins’ flip at dega was nasty
if that was nasty this is filthy
@Above Average Ford Fiesta yeah… my thoughts are currently with him

This crash looked a lot like a combination of the two tumbles Rusty Wallace had in 1993
Those 2 things coming undone makes this flip even worse.
The window net also came undone if you look closely
@PigeonGameryou know a flip is horrible when the net detaches
It looks like the late Davey Allison’s crash at Pocono in 1992 and Darrell Waltrip at Daytona in 1991
And Rusty Wallace Daytona and Talladega 1993.

That crash is actually safer cause the momentum is decreased over a long distance. It’s those sudden stops that are deadly.
Yeah. The car dissipated energy in the flip

Reminds me of his wreck at Kansas in 2020 and when Darrell Waltrip flipped here decades ago
Also reminds me of Elliot Sadler’s 2003 Talladega flip.
I hope he’s OK after that.
Though as I rewatch this flip the more I realize how violent it probably was and looked and I saw the roof hatch fly off.
The crazy part for me is at 0:20 it’s like it’s tumbling so fast it looks it it actually tumbled up even higher mid air
I call that one of the most destructive NASCAR crashes of 2023.
The amount of rotations in mid air without contacting the ground was simply insane.
15 barell rolls omg I never ever seen a wreck like that it’s was wicked to see
This will go down as one of the most violent crashes in Nascar history. This will be talked about for years.
this guy has the worst luck when it comes to wrecks. first that hard wreck at kansas in 2020 and now this. but man is he tough. glad he’s alright
