Glad he is alright. I am glad he is released from the hospital. That wreck was very violent i have never seen a big crash like that since 20 years ago when Elliott Sadler had that flip at talladega.
The austin Dillion flip into the fence from 2015 was pretty bad
Ever see the Indycar Vegas crash where Wheldon was killed?
When I first saw this (live) , My first thought was of Dale SR. , he had been in a couple of this type of drama and it made him a better racer . I hope Ryan has recollection of the early part of the sideslide . Really clad eot have seen Ryan climb out and stand , good goin NASCAR for all the safety rigging . Look for you next year Ryan in Daytona
When I saw this my first thought was when Ryan Newman wrecked coming out of turn 4 and coming to a stop in the tri-oval just before the start/finish line.
I’m glad to hear that he’s been released from hospital and is now recovering.
Best wishes to Ryan. Happy to know he’s home now.
That was a wicked wild ride.
Seeing scary wrecks like that are exactly why I do not like the Super Speedway racing.
Terrifying stuff.
All in all though, super fun regular season and now it’s time for the cream to rise to the top and see who come out champ
Did anyone else notice the engine separated from the rest of the car and ended up a long way from where the car stopped rolling. What a violent wreck.
Lol no it didn’t..
Good eye, I didn’t notice that. Scary stuff.
Yes. It grew wings.
My heart dropped when I saw who it was especially since he just became a dad
You’re one tough customer my friend. Thank God for you being ok.
Glad to hear the good news! He’s going to be sore for a while with bumps, bruises, and his whole body tossed this way and that, but he’s coming back!
I dont think NASCAR has had a rollover like that in at least 2 decades.
This is an enormous crash, but great to know he’s going to be okay
Definitely , the other 2 that comes to mind is the Rusty Wallace and Elliot Sadler roll over wrecks
That dude is tough to be standing after that kinda wreck. Mad respect to you Ryan and get well soon! Who ever welded that chassis thank you for saving his life.
And God most of all!
You didn’t only leave a comment ..
you came to testify!
Amen brother in Christ Amen!
Funny how you can’t even thank a welder without a bunch of people arguing of “god” in the replies. You selfish people take a break and let the guy thank the welder, FFS.
One of the most savagely frightening crashes I’ve seen in the last 20 years, without a doubt. Only Ryan Newman in 2020 had me as concerned for the wellbeing of a driver post crash. Ryan is most definitely TOUGH.
Thanks for the update, you all. That was one of the nastier wrecks I’ve seen in 30 years of watching NASCAR. Very glad the 41 didn’t come slamming down without rolling, the way Bill Elliott’s car did at Talladega in ’96 (it broke Bill’s left hip and sidelined him for five races). Those four rolling hits before the final landing surely saved Ryan Preece from more serious consequences. NASCAR needs to figure out why the infield structures launch cars like that, though.
I haven’t seen that violent of a crash in 20 years or more.. God Bless this young man and thankgod he survived!
Ryan and Michael McDowell will always be remembered, in racing history
Just shows how safe these cars are. Hopefully a 100% recovery for Ryan.
Thanks for participating in this race Ryan, you deserve your fame and wealth. Your car one of the best paint schemes out there
Definitely glad Ryan is okay.
He’s one tough guy, that’s for sure!
Get well soon and get back to driving.❤
