What the hell was reddick thinking he was never gonna make it, that suck for Harvick.
I would say Reddick’s move right there is a contender for the biggest bone head move of the season, at least so far.
I don’t know how he thought it’d be a good idea to stop in the middle of the track.

Plus nascar oddly threw the caution as fast as they could.

Why didn’t Kevin just drive through pit road? And why did Reddick brake check on the track when he wasn’t remotely near pit road? He may have seen Harvick come on pit road and he thought he was gonna hang a left, but Newman was coming and he had to check up to avoid Tyler. So it’s a big fat mess.
Reddick wanted a caution in case Harvick got the lead from a faster pitstop that’s how it looked
Reddick probably tried pitting sooner but couldn’t get slowed down cuz idk why he would brake for a caution that 1.he didn’t need 2.what if Newman doesn’t spin

That’s not how the rule works, you only get penalized if you pit, which for some reason, harvick did
Nascar needs to make a rule where if you cause or are involved in a wreck you go to the back of the line. Reddick gets to finish 2nd after just ruining 2 guys race. Makes zero sense, way too many bonehead moves that go unpunished
How is this Reddick fault.? Newman shouldn’t have even been out there. And Harvick chose to pit.
@Bill T Marchi Newman was fighting for his lap? Reddick stopped in the middle of the corner and Harvick was in a no win situation from where he sat, if he drives through pit road he will be pitting from around 15th? He got screwed by a bonehead move which is the general consensus even with the broadcasters
@Bsed94 how many laps down was newman? How many laps did he hold up the leader allowing Harvick to catch up. Harvick chose when he should pit and chose to make it instead of driving through. Reddick broke no rules. He Thought to pit, probably spotter yelling in his ear to pit pit. Then accelerated back up to speed. Of dummy newman hadn’t been screwing around with the leaders who are running for a championship, wouldn’t have spun and screwed Harvick.
My hats off to Redick who paid newman back for holding him up and got Harvick stuck entering pit road when it was closed. Like someone said, reddicknis playing 4-D chess while everyone else is playing tic tac toe.

Kurt Busch got screwed the same way at Watkins Glen in 2006. Justice for Kevin Harvick! Yes it’s Reddick’s fault but the red light rule needs to be abolished.

So Reddick causes the wreck and Harvick gets penalized. Hey it moves Bubba up a spot. Just like Nascrap wanted.
Pit road needs a green then yellow then red light sequence. When the track is green the pit road is green. But when there is a caution under green conditions the light on pit road needs to go yellow then green. If the driver wants to gamble while the light is yellow it is on him. At least he would have time to react and make a decision
Theres a reason hes retiring. His team is nascar most hated. Penatlies every week, owner point docks, and the owner is the competition (srx series). It also explains their falloff. Shr is blackballed.
