In one of the pitstops at Kansas I remember he lost like 4 or 5 positions in one of the pit sequences

The Trackhouse deal for Zane would be such a full circle ordeal

Remember, before Ganassi sold all their assets to Trackhouse, Zane Smith was going to replace Kurt Busch in the 1

Trackhouse instead chose to add Chastain next to Suarez from the newly defunct Ganassi squad

For Smith to go to the team that essentially delayed his Cup debut would be a development I never would if guessed, but am fully behind and excited for

He’s not driving for track house even if he has a deal with them it’s going to be that he’s leased out

He’s not ready for cup yet!

@Mike loves drawing I disagree. He’s had plenty of seasoning in the Trucks.

People over saying they should let Suarez go but he literally was part of the team when they opened the doors so I don’t think Justin gonna let him go like that. So yea same here I think Trackhouse gonna get a 3rd charter.

@Jorge Joel Hernández Zane smith needs to do a full season in xfinity before cup!

As a Kyle Busch fan I can’t think of a time out pit crew has ruined a race for him. I think it’s just trying to find something new probably

Charlotte. I was sitting right across from his pit stall and every stop towards the end they lost him 2 or 3 spots

Trey Davis September 13, 2023 at 8:05 pm

@PiedmontRailfan81 didn’t know that thanks

Honestly it almost seems like a lateral move but we’ll see.

This past race he lost spots on pit road almost every stop, and not just one, it was multiple spots.

In Daniel Hemric’s 8 starts in the Kaulig 16 in 2022, he put up some decent results, when his car wasn’t breaking down or crashing in the rain. The Fontana race stands out to me, where Hemric went from being 6 laps down due to a shifter issue, to finishing 9th. Incredible result.

And that one race he did with 23XI subbing for Gibbs? With just a few hours heads up, Hemric started in the back and rallied up to finish in 17th, beating his teammate Bubba Wallace.

Sure, 2019 wasn’t the best rookie year but that was one of RCR’s worst years of all time, even for Dillon, they had the old ZL1 Camaro and the 550 package didn’t help. Hemric deserves another shot in cup. He won’t be the most flashy but he’ll get the job done, and be ultra consistent while doing so.

Any chance Noah is going into the 31? The announcement happens the same week he gets reinstated. There’s also some sponsor signficance there too since Bass Pro sponsors this weekend at Bristol and they’re a supporter of Noah. And Black Rifle has a relationship with Bass Pro as well. Plus i bet that dude has some hairy arms.

Shot in the dark, I say Zane Smith is going to Kaulig full time in xfinity, and part time in cup. This deal would eventually lead to a Trackhouse ride. Remember Justin Marks has raced for Kaulig this year so there is a connection.

I keep hearing you say Daniel Hemric is not a flashy driver. Whether he is or is not, why does that matter? He has a solid resume and is more mature now. Sounds like a safe move and sometimes that’s the smart thing to do.

He’s struggled badly to win a race at Kaulig though. It looked like a good move on paper for Kaulig but currently has no wins to show for it unfortunately.

With the hard work we now know he’s put in to make himself a better person, I’m glad Noah’s getting a second chance. As to where he could go… I’m not sure. We’ll just have to wait and see for sure. I think it’ll be best if he replaces either someone like Hocevar in Trucks, or Nemechek in Xfinity. Start off slow, and then build up to Cup again.

Toyota doesn’t want Noah. They made that obvious this year.

If Kyle Larsen can come back from his situation, in a big way I might add, then Noah should be just fine. Time will tell but I’m optimistic

Noah Gragson is reinstated. This is good news indeed. Still a fan of his, loved watching him race in the 9 car and still cheered him on when he was in the 42. Can’t wait to see where he goes and what he can do now

As a huge Kyle Busch fan (I hope this helps) This pit crew has been terrible since there one good stop at FONTANA in February. We’ve lost 3-10 spots about every pit stop under caution. I personally think it will just help keep track position so I think this is a good move.

Trevor Johnson September 14, 2023 at 2:02 am

Busch got screwed over with a bad pit stall at Kansas due to him not qualifying, therefore not having pit stall selection. I think that’s part of why it made the put crew look like they were struggling
