I am so damn happy for Justin Allgaier finally winning at Bristol for the 2nd time! Plus, he advances to the second round of the playoffs! I was especially proud of Dale Jr. despite having a fire in the car late in the race. I knew he was gonna be very competitive after seeing how fast he was in practice and qualifying. Congrats to the 7 team on their 3rd win of the season and the 5th win for JRM! Round 2 here we come!!
Look Jaret I didn’t do any geeking out like you about Dale Jr., I am not the greatest fan of his you may understand I mean it goes back to May over a comment he made about the fans, you know the ones booing the guy who is my least favorite NASCAR driver, I think you know who it is, and I strongly didn’t agree with that comment and made me mad at him, I haven’t watched the Dale Jr., Download since then, I just was a bit mad at him, But I didn’t want to see him on fire in his return behind the wheel neither,, I do believe that is his worst finish in Xfinity since I would say 2010 Daytona in the opener that year. But look good for Allgaier to win at the track he won his first NASCAR National series race in 2010. listen I knew Jr. would run good, yes he led laps, I didn’t he’d be that good in his return.
This could be Justin allgier year to be champion. If he makes it to Phoenix he really good at short tracks . As long as there no jrm silliness of crashes. The only track that could not get Justin in final 4 may be talledega thats the unknown if there race there
I was so excited all night watching the race and honestly him not finishing doesn’t hurt my feelings on the race. He was competitive all night and preformed where his cars clearly are able to. But for me the bummer for the night is as I was watching I realized that even though there is a new driver I cheer for, it just isn’t the same. It doesn’t feel the same cheering for him as it did cheering for JR. So it makes me sad to know there is only so many races left that I will get to watch him do.
It was so much fun seeing Dale Jr lead and run up front. I had a giant smile most of the race. I remember being a kid not knowing the difference between Busch and Cup trying to figure out what this blue #3 car was, now I’m in my late 30s watching him run his last handful of races. Wild!
