Short tracks are on life support in cup right now. Something HAS to be done to these cars to fix the racing product. I don’t think I have ever been so bored watching a Bristol race ever, because you just know whoever gets to the lead and the clean air is just going to drive away and be untouchable unless they get stuck in traffic. It’s sad seeing great tracks like Bristol and martinsville consistently putting on bad races now because nascar can’t fix the cars.
I felt like I was dying when Gibbs took the lead sitting in the stands. Every car spaced out perfectly that no one actually raced. It was sad times man.
The fact that the xfinity race was so good is proof that it is not the tracks fault. They need to fix the racecar

I thought last year was awesome as an RFK fan. This race I was so bored. Yawning knowing Buescher in 4th place couldn’t pass no matter what

Nascar is trying too hard to manufacture excitement and drama. They have gotten in their own way by reconfiguring tracks that did not need it, and simply by putting garbage racing product every week.
Where was the tension?
People aren’t haters when us fans have seen what the owners of “Nascar” have done to a legendary track like Bristol or even the legendary status of Nascar cup cars.. This was honestly one of the most depressing and boring Bristol races I’ve seen in my 29 year life. The owners of Nascar has to realize what the fans want… Fast cars and hot babes!! It’s not Talladega, it shouldn’t be too tough to tame!!

I missed the tension’s boiling over. Denny is racing hard and racing to win this championship and has been last few races. Baring anything crazy it’s his to lose it seems.

Part of the reason why these races are so boring is while of course theres no action, the announcers always sound like they dont even want to be there. Usually just a monotone voice and then excitement that takes a lot of effort from them. Every damn race is a snoozefest. I turn it on and look forward to the afternoon nap I’m about to take. Its like they want people to fall asleep.
I was there also. It was my first Bristol night race. And my wifes first time going to a bristol night race. I had a blast myself.
