I thought there were 6 drivers mathematically eligible for the championship in 1992: Mark Martin, Kyle Petty, Harry Gant, Bill Elliott, Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison.

Of those, I can’t pick any driver I would have felt deserved the championship more in 1992, they all drove extremely well and what made it more remarkable was the fact that there was no chase, no points reset, no playoffs, nothing artificially influencing the championship battle. It was superb!

Too many parents don’t train their children like Bobby. No privilege, must earn the respect and be responsible as a driver.

I never saw Davey race, but i’ve heard about him over the years and he is one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR.
