This weekend is about to be chaotic. As a Hendrick fan, I do hope that Larson advances.
Man, went to my first ever cup race at auto club this year and was soooo hyped for Kyle Bush. So sad to see that he probably isn’t advancing this round.
You said 2 of his 5 wins are road course wins. True. What people seem to forget is 3 of his 5 wins are because of a tire advantage. His “clutch” wins last year were less clutch when you look deeper
They’re still plenty clutch though. You still have to go out and execute whatever strategy you’re on.
What you described is called “strategy” and the driver still needs to be capable of accomplishing their goals for the strategy to work.
as a bubba fan for the 4th season now, I think he’s gonna get eliminated unless he has luck with other playoff drivers having trouble. It was a good run this season If he doesn’t make the next round
That’ll make out of the crowd next episode lol, I’d have to agree on that one, Bubbas not a good road coarse racer so it’s not gonna happen I don’t think. But he’s had a great season, the best of his career, that’s something for him to be proud of. I’m no bubba fan but I respect him for what he’s done
I’m hoping he can pull through, I’d love to see nothing more than him prove the doubters wrong for the 4th time. He made the playoffs, and made it this far. If he can run good and get some stage points and show he has speed I’ll be happy
Im a huge KFB fan, but if he doesnt make it to the RO8 then I wouldn’t be completely upset because its his first year with a brand new team. I didn’t expect him to win the title this year but all I wanted this year was to prove that he still has it, and winning 3 races plus making the playoffs did just that. Great video as always Eric!
If I were being honest at the start of the season I didn’t think Busch would even come close to winning. I hated Busch in the past now since he has grown and changed I tend to cheer for him. He is hilarious either way

As a Bubba fan this season has been great, 23 in 23 was never something I considered seriously…. but even without a win getting our best season points finish is going to be awesome

Larson terrifies me at the roval. Not a single start without some sort of issue. Knowing this year it wouldn’t surprise me if he goes out this round

I’m not sure I agree with KB’s chances being higher than Keselowski’s, but I do agree that Reddick is probably gonna be moving on. Though with stage cautions making their return, that might open the door for Wallace or Chastain to leap frog him. I hate when fast cars have to choose between points or track position.
Kyle Busch could win, keslowski isn’t that great on roadcourses!
When considering this weekend, have to remember the return of stage breaks. That will throw a huge curveball into strategy. A lot of these teams will have to choose between going for the win or going for stage points
I feel bad for KFB since most of the time it’s been something wrong with the car or someone else’s car
I’m REALLY hoping that Buschy advances to the round of 4, as I still believe he has what it takes to win another championship in an odd numbered year. He has a possible pattern of winning championships in Cup every five years, so it’s still not out of the question. Unfortunately for me, it looks like the ball will drop. Sad, but it’s still a great season this year for him, and his son. I still hope things will turn around for him this weekend though.
I’ll be okay if Bubba doesn’t advance. I wish he could’ve won at Texas, but I think he’ll be able to get a win or two next season.

@Mike loves drawing I could see him potentially winning Vegas or Homestead-Miami, but I’m not so sure about this week, Martinsville, or Phoenix.

It’s true that Bubba’s gotten a lot better given Indy and Glen. The issue isn’t so much how well he can do, it’s how much better his contenders are. The only slot that’s in realistic striking distance is Brad, as Larson is a whopping 24 points ahead. Well he’s contending against Reddick who may be the best Road Course racer in the series now and Chastain who’s won at a Road Course and consistently contends for the Top 10
There is one glimmer of hope however and that’s the return of stage breaks. If Reddick, Chastain, or Brad overthink things and try to contend for the win while Bubba stays out to collect 10-15 stage points he might have a shot at overcoming Reddick to sneak into Round 8
Even I’m hoping for Bubba to advance, at the same time I think he will be eliminated. Now if that happens, then I shouldn’t be too worry since Bubba put a good show like an underdog because since the beginning of 2023 there’s the point he went downhill at COTA but after that he went uphill like finishing good places despite with no wins and now he’s in the playoffs like that is good results and Bubba should be proud of his 2023 season also take it as reflection to improve next season.
As a Kyle Larson and Hendrick fan I am pretty nervous for this roval race. I just think Larson is hit or miss with road course stuff so I don’t know how things will work out. He said Texas was the race to make the rd8 and him pushing to hard may have cost him a championship
Larson not moving on this year would be very bad imo, because with the double super speedway rounds next year I don’t see him making it passed those rounds next year
Need bubba to make it. It just gives a underdog to root for
