Do rookie drivers still get less horsepower in the 500?
No, rookies are afforded what the others get, the popoff valve doesn’t care if veteran or rookie it still pops at the same psi regardless of the driver. Teams can dial the overall boost psi down until he gets his handling down pat, but otherwise he is free to run the car as he sees fit.
